I definitely agree. It would be nice if they were quieter areas but this is a great reminder that noise canceling headphones are awesome and I will definitely pack them for my upcoming trip on beyond so thanks for posting this point.

Well, this might sound crazy but what if you just put your feet up on a lounge chair on the deck? Or on your own bed? What if we didn’t put our feet on the chairs at all? I literally cannot believe I’m writing this. I can’t believe I’m sucked into this silly conversation! Now I think about it all day. Ha ha ha.

I also think it’s good to have one or two magazines because if I’m reading on deck and it’s really sunny, sometimes the iPad is trouble. I do have a Kindle but I really like that zoom instead of using reading glasses lol.

Kids are still learning cursive in school. They are also learning how to develop apps and studying the cultures of countries I didn’t hear of until I was in my 20s. They are studying amazing things in science and being challenged in math. if someone prefers to print instead of writing in cursive, I don’t think it’s sad. I think it’s just their preference these new generations know more by the time they’re 10 then I did when I was 20. but I agree with you on the magazines lol I read almost everything on my iPad but when I’m in an airport, it feels luxurious to grab a handful and think of my old days of hanging out in a bookstore.

We just got off a cruise on brilliance of the seas that had a similar lack of staff around the pool. Obviously, I have no idea if this is factual, but I did hear from a number of people that cruise lines are having the same labor issues. Many businesses in the US are having, and it wasn’t a question of the cruise line hiring few were just fewer people willing to work the cruise.

It seems you have your answer to the question I just wanted to mention that when traveling with my older relatives we rent a scooter and it makes all the difference in their ability to cruise. Ships are big and if you have balance issues it can be a safety concern.
