  1. As @prmssksaid no one knows for certain but I think how much you originally paid may well figure into it. We recently bid to Move Up from a SV to a Magic Carpet SS. We were booked with a cruise only fare and bid $1800 pp. Another person on the Roll Call also in a SV bid $1100pp and won the upgrade. They were booked with a AI fare so there original cost was about $6900 vs ours at $4400. The lower bid ultimately got X more revenue $6900 +$2200 =$9100 compared to us $4400 $3600 = $8000.
  2. There are a number of difference between the E class ships. The Edge and Apex are almost identical while the Beyond and Ascent had a number of changes from the Edge & Apex. Location of the cabanas is 1, also a much larger and improved Sunset Bar, a World Class Bar, LeVoyage specialty restaurant, larger Martini Bar, Retreat Sun Deck is 2 levels, Luminae is in a difference location and other changes.
  3. The loungers outside the cabanas were available to anyone on our Beyond sailing.
  4. The e docs can be found on the website. Log into your reservation, go to Your Documents to view or print. The electronic documents will be there 30 days or less before boarding. As mentioned the luggage tag is at the end of the e docs.
  5. Yes for some things like shops and Cafe Al Bacio they swipe your card. Drinks you are often asked to show your card, as it indicates whether or not you have a beverage package, and if so what package.
  6. The cabanas on the Edge face a walkway that gets a good amount of foot traffic, so very little privacy and not great views.
  7. They have changed what they offer eliminating some items and adding others. I’m sorry what you want is not offered, there was probably not sufficient demand for a cake other than the one provided at no charge.
  8. There is no Craft Social on the Edge. The Casino Bar on Deck 4 occupies the space that on some E class ships is where Craft Social is located. We have found the wine selection at the Casino bar somewhat limited.
  9. On the Edge now and there is a light under the drawers that serves as a nightlight.
  10. The port determines when to open the terminal. Our experience in Fort Lauderdale is that the terminal doors are opened around 11. I asked the Retreat team about the time we could enter the terminal in Sydney. They were emphatic that noon was the earliest. In reality bag drop off was available at 9:30 and the terminal opened before 11.
  11. Some M class ships have been reported to be for sale for years, so far no buyers.
  12. We have found the Eden bar had a decent selection of wines.
  13. No CC points would entice us, nor does earning OBC. I like more flexibility from credit card points.
  14. Yes, if they can. We have had to wait for a table when the waiter we preferred had his section full.
