Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I would welcome a speciality restaurant that is Adults Only. Atleast one nice option without screaming kids ruining a quiet evening of elegant dining.
  2. Disappointed that Presidents cruise leaving from Texas won’t feature a western theme entertainer as Texas and Okla both boast enormous talent in that genre. I suppose the Texas Tenors weren’t available? I think they missed a great opportunity to showcase their new terminal and housing an Oasis class ship in the Lone Star state!
  3. Does anyone have any details on The Presidents cruise on the Allure out of Galveston? Any news on special entertainment or entertainers booked? There are usually a number of special events, parties and goodies in your cabin each evening.
  4. I agree completely about Johnny Rockets - by far the best breakfast on the ship. Always hot, many choices and excellent service. The WJ was chaotic and teaming with loud, screaming kids and breakfast in the MDR food was terrible. The Solarium Bistro was just ok, nothing exceptional. One word about Mason Jar, personally we found it the worst food we’ve ever had on any ship. The false claims of home cooking Southern style food is beyond ridiculous. No fluffy biscuits (more like hockey pucks), worst fried chicken ever (all batter with no seasoning) no cream gravy, and they put bourbon in pecan and cherry pies. Royal failed on that one, perhaps they need a good southern cookbook. Playmakers was good as always and can be a good option when menus in the MDR aren’t inviting. We found 150 on the Wonder to be the best one we have ever had - good and service were exceptional. I agree the entertainment was very weak but there were enough other things to do onboard so we made do. Love Central Park.
  5. Could there please be some “adult only” venues on the ships? It’s so annoying that you can’t go to bars, specialty restaurants or anywhere that you arent dodging strollers and children running and screaming. The solarium that’s supposed to be adults only is never enforced, the Diamond and up lounges are hosting crying babies, toddlers running in front of waiters and more. There are many areas for families and children - so it would seem reasonable that some nice adult only areas could be available.
  6. We became Pinnacle in April of last year and did receive our Pinnacle box in November. My question is how do get on the email lists that Royal sends out to Pinnacle members? I’ve read on this site that Pinnacle members receive surveys etc from Royal but we have never received anything. I’ve also heard there is a special customer service phone number to call regarding reservations etc but the only number I can only find is the Diamond+ number and perhaps that’s the one folks are referring to. Just wanted a little direction.
  7. Too many “good” options to sign up for this ship. We only hope it will drain off the large numbers of kids on the Oasis ships win - win! Interesting comments about Virgin cruise - may want to check that out for sure.
  8. We are booked! We did the 2019 Presidents Cruise on the Symphony and it was a great time. The new terminal in Galveston looks awesome so it should be a great adventure😎
  9. Seriously, the Quantum isn’t doing BOGO’s right now? We are doing Alaska in August and always enjoy using our BOGO’s. If they don’t have enough staff does that mean they aren’t open at all, or only for full price patrons?
