Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Super helpful! It seems like there is a lot to do on the ship.
  2. We really prefer Oasis or even Freedom class, but we specifically want to do TP vs TA. I was an exchange student to NZ in high school and have been wanting to go back for years, so we thought this would be a fun way to do it. Our kids are pretty happy to swim, do the flow rider, bumper cars, iFly, etc. They will also have to spend some time doing school work. I like the itinerary that Brilliance does better, but there is just so little for the kids to do on that ship.
  3. Thanks for chiming in! Oh good. If you can stream, I don't think I'd have any issues opening files and such. Great to know they replenish along the way, thank you!
  4. That was helpful, thank you! I could get away with no video/streaming, but would need to access files online. And thanks for the food comments. It just seems that by like day 6 the salads and such are sort of floppy.
  5. Hi all! We are in the very early stages of planning a possible Transpacific sailing in Spring 2025. Since the itineraries aren't out yet, I'm using the 2024 sailings as a starting point, specifically the April 4, 2024 sailing on Quantum. We have three boys who would be 12, 10, and 8 in 2025, so we would really prefer Quantum class (or greater) so there is plenty to do during the many at-sea days. A couple questions that we have so far: 1) How is the internet when in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? I'd likely need to do at least some work during the cruise. 2) Our longest sailing to date is 8 days, and we have a 9 day coming up. The food generally gets a bit blah towards the end. How is it at the end of 15 days? Is the produce terrible? Does stuff just start to taste...not great?
  6. Following as well. We always do Mr. Sanchos but it's so packed these days. We just want to be able to sit on the beach, in the shade, while the kids play on the beach. We have our own snorkel gear and would like to snorkel as well.
  7. Definitely not too late, deposit isn’t due until the 10th and I can extend that option for another week or so. I saw that 10 day and that seems super cool. The B2B would be epic. My kids are happy spending all day on the beach so I’m not too worried about the ports. We did a cabana in Coco Cay and it was so much fun, we could barely get them back on the ship.
  8. We are currently booked for a June 2023 sailing out of Galveston on Allure (local to Houston area, so no flights….YAY!). We have three boys who will be 6, 8, and 10 at the time of sailing. I just booked us for a 9 day Radiance sailing for next March. Lots of attractive things about this sailing- 1) it’s out of Galveston, 2) it’s 9 days, 3) it goes to Coco Cay (which we all love) plus some ports we haven’t been to yet (most Galveston sailings just hit the same ports that we are fairly sick of), 3) it is during our spring break, and 4) the 2BR suite was available. Lots of positives there. My only hesitation is it is such a small ship. Kids have done Harmony and Liberty. With three at sea days, I’m not sure what there is for them to do. The pool is tiny, there’s one very basic water slide, etc. If you have cruise on Radiance with kids in that age group, how was it?
