on our next short cruise on Silhouette we have excursions starting around 11:30 am.. kind of cuts into lunch time and lunch is not included.. I am type 2 diabetic and will carry a wrapped snack...plus water of course

will think about chill island! not sure our next few will go to Cocoa..leaning towards ECLIPSE for 2026 thank you very much for all the info!

that sounds reasonable..Are food and drink, loungers and float mats availble there? But we want tranquility NOT a music thumping party.. Had enough of that at the outdoor pool on ASCENT whats the most quiet area ?

Your posts about the locks and the eclipse are excellent.. Thank you again for your work in putting these posts together..Many of us no longer cruise as often as we did before, and look forward to these blogs. As I mentioned, we are trending toward booking shorter excursions ..other than to a resort for a day of relaxation, or something like our recent trip over to NEVIS..from our ASCENT cruise.. Sal always asks how long an excursion will be before we book and prefers going early in the day ! We are okay just picking one thing or getting an overview and then have time to shop or get a late lunch .. Helps that we have been to most of the Carib ports more than once! But we always find something of interest. Of course, the Canal excursion would be an exception to a short excursion day...since it is an engineerjng marvel that is not quite close to home...Still looking at a full transit east to west...expensive!. When we did a partial transit on Royal C, we had a long tour leaving from Gatun Lake via tender to a small pier. We travelled by bus into the Gamboa area and made quite a few stops including an aerial tram into the jungle and climbing up stairs to an elevated viewing platform with ..amazing views . Stopped at a Butterfly conservatory and then to a resort for refreshments. Memorable day!

We sailed on EDGE twice... in AQ Class and a Sunset Veranda..Sailed on ASCENT recently in AQ Class, and took a short cruise on BEYOND in a SS...while Butlers were on the job. We are booked in an SV on APEX but also heading to an S Class ship in Concierge. There's something for everyone on E Class ships....We did not enjoy Luminae..one of the main benefits of Suites and found the Retreat lounge antiseptic ! Suite guests do have certain perks and private areas, but so did AQ Class. Most everything is open to all like bars and specialty dining, the gym, outdoor pools and Solarium...etc More concerning is the Creaking thing!

flowers are from Cap Club..esp the Rose..they will last quite awhile..snip the stem ends. I used to.order several big arrangments ahead but no longer available. I did receive a very nice mini arrangement form Cap Club on my big birthday cruise in January..

Looks great.. we did a similar lunch and swim at Hotel Cozumel...first time it was very nice..on a later trip it was not well kept up! Getting many great ideas from you..thanks again.

thanks, but that's more than we paid for a private cabana on labadee with peronalized service.. .Don't think we would pay that much or use OBC on that..esp when there are other pools and beaches we could visit ???? gee I have to scroll way back to catch up!

Spoiler: this is personal to Jim..others can skip if they want! Perhaps you and Ian can exchange gifts or tokens on the beach,to mark a renewal of your life bond...and let the tide take away bad memories. I worked with abuse cases for many yrs.. the scars remain but the courage to break away is a cause for Celebration. All victims deserve to heal! good thoughts!

.. We cruised 15 days round trip on Summit..yrs ago...one of our best trips.. Old memories fade so pls forgive me if I do not have this sharp in my mind. Just hit a big birthday this year! . We were in port in Honolulu overnight.. walked alot & saw Diamond Head, Waikiki Beach the big pink hotel, Dukes, the surfer monument. & .great jewelry shopping . Also took a tour that stopped at the big cemetery, memorials to King (?) Kameahmea( sic)..and other historic places Most moving to us was the visit to the ARIZONA and museum...so well done but possibly not in great shape. Wish all Americans could visit to honor those who gave their lives for our country!

just bought that today.. Sal will make beans, broccoli rabbe, and sausage..one of our fav peasant dishes!
