  1. That employee is literally useless considering that's one of the most basic perks of Elite Plus and is a simple question for someone working at the Captains Club desk. I had a similar situation when the Apex first sailed and I had just become Elite Plus and the matre D at Luminae had no idea what I was talking about and was going to charge us for after dinner espressos even though the Elite Plus premium coffee perk applies in Luminae.
  2. That's what chicken paillard is,plain grilled chicken breast. You can't get anything more basic than that. I don't think you can order something that's not on the menu.
  3. Last September we were on a different cruiseline but stopped at the same Hiroshima pier. For us there was a free shuttle bus to the nearest train station. We bought tickets right at the station into Hiroshima city center. Having previously done the Peace Park/memorial and museum we wanted to see other things in Hiroshima. We went to a contemporary arts museum and then right outside of the museum is a wonderful park right in the middle of the city. We then had a great lunch in a nice restaurant in one of the department stores. It was a great day in Hiroshima.
  4. We did 3 b2b2b on the Pride in May/June. '22 for a total of 32 days consecutive days on 1 ship. What was nice was there wasn't any repeat ports ( we could have stayed on for a 4th cruise that wasn't repeats in the Baltics but we decided against it) and we went to many places for the first time, including Bilbao,Spain and the Norwegian fjords. It was a wonderful trip!
  5. Omg. The casino was crazy that whole cruise! It was packed day and night. Due to time changes they actually opened the casino at 4am.
  6. So if you get My time dining yes, every night you need to go into the app and request a reservation. You cannot make the reservations in advance, you need to do it every night. It's more how some restaurants on land where you call right before you go ahead to be put on a waiting list. So on the Celebration you do this on the phone app. On the phone app you choose whether you want to be put on the waiting list for the MDR,Chibang, or Cucina. With YTD your are allowed 1 free visit to Chibang, after that it's an $8/pp cover. Cucina is unlimited. The thing is only MTD can you request to eat at Chibang or Cucina at any time during the night. If you're on fixed early or late and want to eat at either Chibang or Cucina you need to wait until after 7:30 before you can request a table. If you have MTD there's no time restrictions like with early or late. The same 1 free dinner at Chibang applies with early or late seating.
  7. We did the Luminosa repositioning from Seattle to Brisbane. We had several itinerary changes which meant the Alaska ports were eliminated and a supposedly nice Port in the Philippines was also cancelled due to a typhoon but it was still one of the best cruises we've ever done. It became ostensibly a Japan cruise with 5 stops in Japan and a stop in a minor port on Indonesia. Brisbane is a beautiful city with lots to do right in the City Center. I will caution people that consider these long itineraries whether they can REALLY handle so many seadays. The cancellation of the earlier Alaska ports meant our first port after disembarking in Seattle was 12!!! Days later in Japan. There were a lot of people going stir crazy. We heard more people disembarking during our last stop in Japan even though there was 12 more days to reach Brisbane. This cruise was offered fully comped to many casino players,so it was enticing to get a $5,000 cruise for free for many people that may not have had the experience of long cruise itineraries with many, many sea days. The original itinerary was 9 port days out of a 30 day cruise, so people should have known what they were getting when they booked.
  8. You are forgetting about the 3 drawer dresser in both types of rooms. The inside cabins have that one closet while the Oceanview cabins have additional storage: above, below and to the left of the coral display shelf are additional storage. There's plenty of places to your stuff.
  9. Edit: Maybe a whole ship of families are pulling kids on random weeks for a week long vacation 🤷
  10. Areas with large Jewish populations will have next week off since Passover is next week (Passover and Easter are wide apart this year). Having said that I've sailed during Easter week(not purposely) and this cruise is as full with families with kids as an Easter week cruise or a Christmas week cruise (many times purposely for a family Christmas onboard). There's no other explanation unless a whole ship full of families are pulling kids out of school for a one week cruise vacation when Easter was 3 weeks earlier.
  11. It's not an Elite cruise I'll give some thoughts about the cruise later on but not feeling into doing a day by day with lots of pics. What I'll say right now it seems like a full ship. I think in many parts of the country it's public school spring break next week and since this was a Saturday to Saturday cruise it's perfect for families with kids, which the ship is jam packed with. At sea day brunch today we saw a group of 30!!! Family members all traveling together. There's kids of every age on the ship
