  1. Ah, it's all tracked by their computer network. What could possibly go wrong? 🤣😂 And I did say "impossible dream."
  2. Since we're all wishing for things we're unlikely to get, here's my very unlikely to get wish. I wish they had a package that offered me only the things that I actually want. This mythological package would include: crew appreciation, wifi, and specialty coffee. Maybe one casual dining and one specialty. Maybe. No alcohol, no silly "premium" desserts, no exercise classes, no reserved seating in shows I'll never go to anyway. Just a short list of the few things at a reasonable price. The impossible dream. 😂🤣
  3. That menu would work for me!
  4. Here's an option that you might like. We carry these for long hikes or situations where we want a little something. Wasteful packaging, but they do work well and are available at any grocery store in the canned fish section. 5. We did that once on Princess. Left the video running and left the cabin with our medallions. Since the medallions weren't in the cabin, the system assumed we weren't either, so we had to start it from the beginning again. I know this doesn't currently apply on HAL, but I'm thinking it will if they ever go to a medallion system.
  6. If you want that excursion, I think you ought to book it now. It sells out pretty quickly. On our August cruise, it's sold out. It's also $419.95. I don't think I'll add us to the waitlist.
  7. It looks to me like staff were totally focused on documenting everything in case of a law suit. What would you like to have happen? Apology? Compensation? Something else?
  8. I looked at that cruisetour on HAL's website, and I see what you mean. Hard to get any info there. It does look to me like you'll have a full day at Denali, so you'll want to get as far into the park as possible. We're not Denali experts, but we've gone there on two separate trips. We took the park shuttle, rather than an organized tour. It's not plush, think "old school bus" and the amount of narration you get is entirely dependent on the driver. One driver was wonderful. He was an older guy, who had a wealth of information to share. And he shared. He also would stop anytime somebody called out to him to do so. Another driver wasn't good at all. No narration at all (we didn't mind that) and he just wouldn't stop for long anywhere. I would still do this shuttle rather than one of the tours, since it's cheap enough to book the full trip but still have the flexibility to bail out at one of the rest stops and catch a different shuttle back if you feel like it. 9. They're really easy to move. We just pull one out from the wall so it clears the nightstand(s) and then shove it over. Reverse process later.
  10. "Beware the beancounter?" That has a nice ring to it.
  11. They probably might still be working on this, but for the cruise I booked the other day (through an agent on the phone for a quad on deck 10 of the Noordam for the two of us) I still see nearly all those quad cabins available for a party of two. I'll try that again in a few days and see what I see then.
  12. They never have in our cabins. Probably don't ever, but who knows. They usually shove the beds apart and put both nightstands in the middle, if there's room.
  13. We push them back together for the afternoon!
  14. For any bed smaller than a true king bed, it's always going to be twins for us. We're both restless sleepers, and also hubby's elbows and knees have a way of always turning up on my side of a queen. The last time we shared a smaller-than-king was in Yosemite, where we'd backpacked from Merced Lake to Valley floor and found our cabin had a single, double bed. We were so tired that there wasn't much moving around!
