I have already booked with a different cruise line for next year. Reason being the new edge ships have replaced the s ships out of Southampton, we want a proper balcony and the SV's are horrendously expensive, secondly the price for an infinity balcony is 2k higher than a normal balcony on the other line. The other cruise line may not be "luxury" but the menu is better

I also received an update a section of which is shown below "Upon careful consideration of all feedbacks received from our valued guests, the test that took place in the casinos on the Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Eclipse through August 20th has discontinued" - no reason for the discontinuation - but I am pleased it has stopped.

I e mailed them too and had the exact same reply. I have replied and challenged them should they affect changes on ships sailing out of UK. In the UK vaping is treated in exactly the same way as smoking, i.e. banned from all internal communal spaces - so in my view they should abide by that rule in the same way as the age limit to drink alcohol is reduced to 18 on UK sailings. With regard to the vapes themselves - they are not solely being used as a substitute for smoking, we see youngsters using them who have never smoked - because it appears to be a cool thing to do. The colours/flavours are deliberately targeting the young who are filling their lungs with goodness knows what rubbish. To me this is another example of Celebrity sneaking changes onto the ships without any warning or consultation. I hope they don't extend this when the trial ends

I am considering booking a stateroom (balcony) on Deck 8. I have decision to make whether to select one above the pizzeria or the Sur La Mer. I am told that both of these eateries have external eating areas. Does anyone know whether either allows smoking in the external areas? I do not wish to enter into a debate about smoking - just want to avoid a balcony directly above a smoking area. Thank you so much

I doubt if soda bread would be a substitute for lava bread given that lava bread is actually seaweed and not bread at all

One thing that I have never seen is a full welsh breakfast. That would be, bacon, sausages, cockles, lava bread, eggs and toast

I sent an e mail to both the people in Celebrity referred to in this thread. I asked what I consider to be pertinent questions, including capacity in the MDR, dress codes for the MDR for those who want to wear shorts. I also reminded them that I have other cruiselines to choose from - that perhaps are not as chic but still provide a great choice. I have received a reply asking for my phone number (by the way they managed to work out the sailing I am on in September because they referred to that in their reply - I didn't include the details in my e mail) and a convenient time to speak to me. I have replied by telling them that I would prefer a reply via e mail
