  1. The T&C does say the list will be reviewed within 7 days of departure. In practice the list will be reviewed if cabins are available. If the ship is sold out then someone cancels two days out that would be when you would be informed that a cabin is available. I have seen at least one person in Florida that said the received notice yesterday for a 3 March sailing
  2. The shipyard can adjust their project during construction and anticipate delays. Although the reason Princess gave short notice is not known it looks like it was during sea trials and something unpredictable needed to be adjusted. You are not comparing apples to apples.
  3. Princess have communicated that the first sailing is cancelled and the 18 February is expected to sail as normal. What other communication do you expect?
  4. The Sun is the first in class with new technologies. I doubt there would be a delay to the inaugural of the second in class but I have no doubt the project management team are frantically working on possible revisions to the flowcharts!
  5. Ranting at an enrichment speaker is pointless. They have nothing to do with Princess but are (unpaid) contractors. Leave the guy alone and appreciate the information he is able to add. In the meantime rant all you like about delays in sea trials which unfortunately happen and obviously this is a last minute glitch which sadly has meant the cancellation of the first sailing. Princess appear to be dealing with to the best of their ability. Do you have a better solution? Sorry if you were on the inaugural and I hope you manage to enjoy a cruise in the near future.
