Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks I didn't realize you didn't have to be a AARP member to buy thy discounted cards. I appreciate the help everyone!
  2. It's been a few years since our last Princess cruise, but on our previous ones, we've been able to find gift cards on sale to purchase and apply to the fare. Does anyone know of any upcoming sales? I didn't see anything when I tried searching the boards. Thanks!
  3. Did not ask but nothing I could find when I did a forum search.
  4. Would anyone who's sailed on the Pride of America since the 2022 restart be able to share? We've seen postings elsewhere with the Aloha Cafe nightly themes. We have a few specialty dining vouchers to use and trying to plan when we want to book them. Thanks
  5. If you're on POA, you'll be docked in Kahuli.
  6. We stayed at the Ala Moana in 2006 (was there for a conference and did the POA after the conference)- it's just outside of Waikiki, on the west side of the Ala Wai canal. We enjoyed it- close enough to walk to whatever we wanted in Waikiki without the expenses. We are going on the POA this November for the 2nd time, staying at the Park Shore this time.
  7. That's a bummer. We'll be there in late November and it was on my bucket list 😞
  8. Thanks. Are the trucks in the shopping center parking lot?
  9. Thanks! I appreciate the info.
  10. I've been reading up on the shrimp trucks on the north shore of Oahu and really want to try one (or more) out when we're there this fall. Are there any other food trucks other than the shrimp trucks? My wife has a shellfish intolerance and can't have any/have to avoid cross contaimination. Thanks!
  11. Over Thanksgiving, there's at least a $200 per night difference between hotels in Waikiki and ones just in the other side of the canal. If target spend my money doing/ seeing things
  12. We stayed at the Ala Moana years ago when we were there for a conference and then the cruise. Just outside of Waikiki on the other side of the Ala Wai canal and for us was easily walkable to Waikiki. We're likely staying there again this fall due to the significant price difference. And we found the Ala Moana Beach to be much more pleasant than the beach at Waikiki.
  13. Thanks for the suggestion. We're likely going to be staying at the Ala Moana, so that would work out perfect.
  14. Thanks for the suggestion, we'll check that one out. Booking the hotel this weekend, still mulling over the options, but likely staying at the Ala Moana. We stayed there years ago when I was there for a work convention and found it pleasant, plus easily walkable to the Waikiki area.
