  1. I think they will have to drop people off in Vancouver. No matter where they go to have it repaired...it is unlikely that they would try to end the sailing in the US.
  2. Thank you! I have heard about creams. Note to myself. I will have to ask about that as well. And I am glad to hear that it is not unusual He just froze the red spot off on my upper lip. Right now, he is just having me put Aquaphor ointment on it (which seems like Vaseline in a tube) and very large bandages. But I will ask about things that might minimize the scarring. Thanks again!
  3. It was Comfort Suites, but I don't think that is what they are looking for. I would just take a cab over, walk around in the allowed areas, gamble a little, and take a cab back. I do not recommend the water taxis.
  4. So. Armchair physicians. ☺️ Why does a half to three quarters of an inch lesion require a FOUR INCH incision, with many, many stitches? I will ask when I go to have them removed. And I am thankful that it was removed. And it is horizontal on my thigh, not vertical. So that is good. I am just curious at this point, how the perimeters are determined. They still send it off to the lab to see if enough was removed. It just seems a little excessive. And since I couldn't watch, I was kind of surprised. ☺️
  5. Thanks so much for taking the time and such an interesting review @Teeara. We really enjoyed following along. Bummer for the people on the following 4 night cruise to Vancouver. Your ship is broken. Propulsion problems, and they have lost all of their ports. πŸ™
  6. I hope it changes a lot of company's behavior. The one that ticks me off is Lens. com. They advertise low prices on contacts and then throw in ridiculously high shipping, handling and processing fees. The cruise lines should be like Southwest, without the surprise fees at the end of the booking process.
  7. You always have the best and most fascinating photos. I have never even heard of the Malahat Skywalk! 😊 But it looks really neat. In other news, we watched the first 3 episodes of FALLOUT on Amazon Prime, because there has been so much hype about it. The first episode is definitely video gamish. The second episode was more interesting with Michael Emerson (Person of Interest) and the origin of the dog. The third episode is more sci-fi, so we will probably go on to watch the rest. It is interesting that it was filmed in Namibia and Utah. You would think that they could find closer sand dunes. I wouldn't say it is great, but it is different enough to keep our interest. 😊
  8. It is really difficult, isn't it? I had a dictionary fancy, embossed with my name, that my dad gave me right before college that he signed with sentiment. But I tossed it. I took photos of a few things. But it is hard to part with some of this stuff. And books are really heavy. I cut those at least, in half.
  9. There are probably 3 sets up there too. Donate. We already gave the flatware to Bill's cousin. We are all in on Corelle and Corning.
  10. It wouldn't be surprising if there was Noro. It is pretty common on our spring canal cruises. The most interesting outbreak was on a Vision S. Caribbean cruise. I think also in April. The cruise made the CBS Evening News. Every night before we met up in the cigar lounge, we would count the number of yellow quarantine magnets above the cabin doors, to get our own tally of affected cruisers. We didn't come down with it until we returned home. But I think that might have been from the poor vomiting women on the plane.
  11. Wow! Thanks Jim. And that is a lot of boxes. Our move is looking that way. We can pack the boxes, but we can't load it all ourselves. I can't lift stuff anymore. This is entirely too much work, as it is. Since we only plan to live at the other house for two years. Some boxes may never even get unpacked. But I am absolutely amazed at how much stuff we have discarded, donated, or sold. And how much is still left to pack. There is something to be said for a minimalist lifestyle. Our neighbors were like that. I went over there and asked, where is your mail, and magazines and celery rubber bands, and paperwork and gadgets and other stuff? She just said they don't get keep any of that. Amazing. πŸ™„ I guess it is something to aspire to. 😊
