  1. The elevators are in a foyer...so noise isn't a factor, especially as far down the hallway as your cabin will be.
  2. But, they don't always ALLOW the partions to be opened.....it's dependent on the Captain's whim. On some other ships, it's simply a small doorway that opens from balcony to balcony.....so there is still a "partial" blockage there.
  3. Depending where the SUN is in relation to the ship, you may not get sun at all on your balcony. And quite frankly, having a roof over the balcony gives you more privacy....people aren't looking DOWN onto your space! If you're traveling in a hot clime, you will welcome the shade!
  4. Rubber flip flops are what they're talking about. Most women will be wearing strappy heels or some sort of sandal on warm-weather cruises in the dining room!
  5. I really like Barielle polishes...especially, their top-coats. I use their colors in the winter, too...but they don't do exceptionally BRIGHT colors, so I go with any brand that comes in the colors I like for summer!
  6. Do you need an HC bathroom? If so, a gty. booking will not work for you. It would be best to take a look at the deck plans, and book the cabin that makes the most sense for you. If you don't need an accessible cabin, then the GTY is a good cost-saver. When RCI says "partially obstructed", it's usually less than a post or perhap lifeboat covers below you. You will still have a view!
  7. Not all cruiselines offer self-laundries....
  8. Especially, with dark hair, laser removal works GREAT. You may want to look into that, so you don't have to worry about it anymore! My hair is pretty light, so tweezing or waxing works ok.
  9. I would also introduce your friends to this site, so they can check things out on their own!
  10. If the "excursion" is simply transportation, then a few bucks is fine. If there is a guide that adds to the journey, tip more! There is no "customary" tip guideline!
  11. 9242 is a connecting cabin with 9244...so there is a possibility of being heard or hearing from the other cabin....generally, a rolled up towel under the connecting door will block any undue noise.
  12. The ceilings are at least 7 ft...he'll be fine.
  13. I remember when the drink prices were MORE than reasonable. Like around $2 for beer and $3.50 or so for mixed drinks. You expect ridiculous prices when you're at, say, a ball game or some other "couple hour" event....but when you're a captive audience, it riles me a bit.
  14. I have to agree that the odds are against you. They really don't pay attention if you booked a B2B....each leg is considered a separate cruise. But, no worries....the cabin attendant will help by moving all hanging items....so it's really only your folded, and personal items you'll need to pack up...they will move it all for you.
  15. I used to wear heels whenever I dressed up! No stockings in summer temps!. However, my poor feet can't do that anymore, unless it's a 2 inch wedge style. Old age sucks.
