I don't know if I will get any feed back here, but I thought I would ask, since it is in regard to Celebrity and Princess. Actually we just got off the Regal Princess in February, and for the most part, very enjoyable. I really didn't think I would like the medallion (I'm an OLD lady), but my family showed me how to use it, and twice it came in handy very unexpectedly. We did pay for the Premier package which is $80 I believe. My problem was I did NOT use it to my full advantage, but that was MY fault. I don't know if any of you who have been on Celebrity has done the Ascent ship, but if you did, I would like some feed back on this ship, as we have thought about doing this ship.

I'm sorry to read some of the issues the poster went through, but since I am from the mid west, I know we would not be cruising out of NYC. My main question is to those that DID cruise the Carnival Venezia over the past year, would you mind giving me your feedback on this ship, as we are thinking of doing it.

Lachelli, I just seen your posting, and I have no clue when you were to cruise on the Carnival Venezia, but it caught my attention. If you did this within the past year, would you mind giving me your feedback on this ship, as I'm thinking we might do this ship next year.

Wardwhitty, I just noticed the Venezia mention, and am thinking of doing this Carnival ship. Would you mind giving me a little feedback of your thinking, as I have done other Carnival ships, but this one looks like it would be a good one to check out too.

This is interesting to know about NO tablecloths anymore,but no biggie. For those of you who have cruised on the Venezia within the last year, would you mind giving me the pros/cons of YOUR opinion of this ship? I have done several Carnival ships, and this one looks pretty good too, but would like to read more feedback on this ship.

Bemidji Ty, as for myself, as long as it is "self serve", I always carry a wet wipe, so I can wipe my hands down good, after touching the utensils that others have touched as well.

For those that have been posting and trying to help, it was appreciated. My son and I have discussed this further, and we plan to go another direction. Once again, thank you to those that tried to help.

I appreciate the postings here, but we WANT to do a cruise, and we may NOT be going to see a plantation after all. It was just my thinking from years ago. 😞

Cr8tiv1, yes you may be right. There may not be any plantations to visit like I did 22 years ago. I'm sure we could go to Hawaii, but we were just thinking of Jamaica at this time, and there may not be any.

MarkK, yes I don't deny that I did that, as I did NOT expect ALL of you people to be checking out the DIFFERENT cruise lines that I was posting under. As I said before, the message has come through very CLEAR, and I do appreciate those that did NOT come down on me like some of you, but still received some good answers.

Bostonjetset, and others on here, yes YOU are right! As I said, I did not expect ALL of you to be LOOKING under ALL of these DIFFERENT cruise areas. EVERYONE'S message has come through very CLEAR!!! I do appreciate those that didn't come DOWN on me and gave me an answer that I could possibly use.

JCOL576, thank you for your response. I was NOT expecting ALL of these people to be looking under these DIFFERENT cruise lines. As I mentioned, I am just looking for a "working" plantation, as I don't remember what kind it was 22 years ago, when we were pulled around on a tram to visit it. As I mentioned earlier, I'm NOT as young as you all with your WORDS that you want me to use!

2shoes2go, yes we visited a Batik factory a few years ago, and that was very interesting. Thank you ALL, as you have given me some new ideas to check out. Yes, I figured I could probably find a plantation here in the states, but we are planning a cruise out of the states.
