Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Me neither. We sail on Sunday. Hours are dwindling especially since suites have been sold out for a while.
  2. Yup. Iā€™ve been had this happen multiple times over the last couple months as I try to plan for my upcoming cruise. Iā€™ve changed my password about 7 or 8 times in that time period. Itā€™s frustrating.
  3. šŸ™Awww, I enjoy sitting outside to enjoy breakfast but sounds like thatā€™s not an option on Wonder unless on our balcony. Are there any outdoor dining areas on Wonder? We sail April 21 and getting very excited to check her out.
  4. Over the past couple months Iā€™ve had to reset my password several times to get into the app. I knew my password was correct but it wouldnā€™t allow me access. Each time I changed my password Iā€™d gain access but it might have been for a few hours it days, then change it again. I went a couple weeks without having to change password just to see the app logged me out overnight and again wonā€™t accept my valid passsordā€¦. Here I go again changing it again.
  5. So I can hold out a little hope šŸ˜‰
  6. We put in a minimum bid on Wonder to move up from the JS we booked to a GS. Sailing is April 21 and put the bid in on Feb 21 and no word as of today (4/2). Bid status still shows ā€œSubmittedā€. Continuing to cross our fingers.
  7. I successfully checked in for my April 22 Wonder sailing a couple weeks ago and now the app says check in available (like I have not previously checked in) but times out when I click check in, same on web version, too.
  8. On my very first cruise I packed 11 pairs of shoes! These days, depending on length/itinerary, activities I have planned, and wardrobe selections, I pack 5-7 pairs of shoes. I like variety!
  9. I've done this itinerary many times and I think you'll really like the Catalina excursion you are considering. It's something very unique and you get to see different parts of the island. The main part can get very busy with tourists but still fun to walk around maybe after your excursion. Ensenada has really been working hard on improving their town and port area. It's MUCH nicer than it once was. I did the La Bufadora excursion once and it was ok, you see the blowhole (which is cool) and then you shop around at outdoor markets and stands. If it's hot, it's miserable, though. The bus ride feels very long and kind of makes the whole tour long and drug out. However, I would not discount hanging around the touristy parts of Ensenada for a few hours and shopping/eating/drinking around town. We had AMAZING smoked marlin tacos at the fish market, sometimes we saw them listed as "El Presidente" tacos on some menus. We still talk about those tacos. It's a type of taco found mainly on the west coast of Mexico, we have not seen them on the east/Caribbean part of Mexico. There will also sometimes be live entertainment like dancers near the port. I used to dread the Ensenada stop and not get off the ship but last time we ported there (October 2022) we got off and had one of the nicests days of the cruise (it was a 7-day Mex Riv and Ensenada was the last day).
  10. Wow! Congrats! Iā€™m following this because I have a bid in to go from a Junior Suite to a Grand Suite on Wonder for the April 22 sailing. I also bid the minimum. Iā€™m hoping and crossing my fingers to experience my first true suite, too,
  11. Oooooo good to know. I haven't packed my own toiletries in ages and I NEED conditioner even when there is no salt water, sun or wind. LOL We are in a junior suite, though, so I need to see if that might come with it. And we usually said Celebrity and I think their balcony cabins had it. I'm glad I know to pack conditioner on RC, though... in addition to all the other darn hari stuff I need to keep the hair in line. LOL
  12. I don't have a dining package but have been trying to book one or two specialty restaurants for our late April sailing. I've been checking for three weeks now and unable to find Izumi and Wonderland with any availability, they were listed but just showed "filled up" without ability to select dates. As of today, Wonderland doesn't even show on the Specialty Dining lineup and neither does Izumi Hibachi. Izumi (sushi) shows up but there is zero availability. I was able to snag a Chops for 8pm one night. Giovanni's shows up but no times available. Chef's Table even no longer shows up. Park 150 had some slots but that one doesn't really appeal to me. I'm really bummed that Wonderland doesn't even show up. We will try to check for Wonderland reservations as soon as we board, as well as for Izumi (sushi), but just disappointed. I really was looking forward to trying Wonderland.
  13. I was wondering the same thing. I don't have UDP, I was booking a couple individual restaurants. I was able to book Mason Jar for brunch on the last sea day but none of my other options, even our back ups were available. There were a few spots for things like Chef's Table and Hooked open, and Izumu for lunch the same day we are doing Mason but we didn't want any of those. Otherwise, everything "booked" as far as online says.
  14. I tried all last week to make Wonder specialty dining reservations for my late April sailing and almost all venues showed sold out or error when trying to select what appeared to be an available time slot. I even called Royal to try to make some res and they said no availability for anything I was interested in. I asked if res were held back for passengers to make res onboard and she said no, which I know has got to be wrong. I've just resolved to having to rush to a dining room to try to make res right after boarding the ship.
