Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Are there tables big enough for 11 people in the Silhouette dining room on the Equinox, or will our party need to be split in 2?
  2. Do you think they'll do any "rehearsal" cruises, like the 3 and 4 day cruises that the Ascent is doing prior to it's official maiden voyage?
  3. The first season of cruises for new ships, not just for Celebrity, but for most cruise lines, are usually 7 nights because those are the most popular. When was the last time a mainstream cruise line sent their newest ship on 10 or 14 night cruises?
  4. Jeremiah, don't beat around the bush. Tell us how you really feel....haha
  5. I assume there are highchairs in the main dining room, but how about the Oceanview cafe? In particular, I'm talking about the Equinox. Thank you in advance.
  6. There are also a few interesting shipwrecks to check out, amazing fishing, and opportunities to swim with sharks, if those interest you. I've been to Bimini a few times, both before Virgin built the pier and after, and I love the low-key vibe of the island.
  7. Great review, Beth (and happy belated birthday)! These pictures brought back so many great memories from my last cruise on Summit in February!
  8. That's not necessarily true. On our February cruise on the Summit they opened up the solarium for families every afternoon for a couple hours despite gorgeous caribbean weather the entire trip.
  9. I agree 100%. I prefer facing forward. Never had an issue with the wind being too strong on any of the sailings that I've had a forward facing hump balcony.
  10. We were on the Summit in February and with the 2019 revolutionization it feels almost like a brand new ship. We loved the job they did on her.
  11. Is deck 11 preferable to deck 10? We are currently booked in the 2 center sunset verandas on deck 10 on a sailing on Celebrity Ascent next year but this morning I noticed that both of these same staterooms are available on deck 11. I assume that the view will be pretty much the same (obviously several feet higher), but everything else would be pretty much equal?
  12. We were invited to 2 sailaways on our Summit cruise this past February; one on departure from Miami (because we were in Concierge class), and another when leaving Cozumel (because we were Captains Club members). We went to the one out of Miami. They didn't check invites but they did make my wife go back for closed toed shoes. I enjoyed it. It's an interesting view and we saw a dolphin jumping near the front of the ship. I don't know if I'd do it again if invited, but for someone that hasn't done it, I would definitely recommend the experience.
  13. This is very helpful! I always wondered what the difference between a partial and full transit were.
  14. Interesting. Is that because it's too windy? I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to enjoy a view like.
  15. For people that have cruised a few Princess ships, which were your favorite and why?
