We are scheduled with Harv & Marv in 2 weeks so I will try and come back for a review. Never been to Alaska, and so a bit nervous on going out on my own, but really don’t want to do the ship excursion with so many people.

I redeemed $250 in beginning of June and sail 9/22 and it has still not posted. Almost forgot about it! Will have to check it out this week! Thank you for the phone number!

Dave, what excursion did you do and was it thru the cruise line or did you book on your own?

Freeport—we were here today and did not plan an excursion. There is not much of anything at the actual port to do except the shacks for shopping and Senor Frogs and Dick Willies for drinking and people watching. Took a couple of pics from the ship after we got back. I will say Senor Frogs is on the expensive side, but the food looked good going out. Regular nachos were $17, but if you wanted beef it was $25. Conch Fritters app was $20, just to give you an idea of the food prices. Small mug margaritas were $10 and larger mug (not Oktoberfest size lol) was $20. You could upcharge to the yard souvenir for $5, but beware, the bottom of the yard is not filled, so don’t think you are getting any extra, at least not the others I have visited where the yard is totally full to the bottom The beer!?! $9.00/bottle, regular size. That was Bud Lite, and the local was more. some pics below of the port area. had a great time at Senor Frogs, but not a port I would need to visit again anytime soon. Hope this helps

So disappointed that we leave Skagway at 5 pm and won't have a chance to take advantage of these tours. Guess we will need to take the ship's tour to make sure we are back in time unless anyone has any other options?

If you have an opinion on the subject, how risky would you think it is it to take advantage of individual cruise tours, vs the ship tours. I know how crowded the ship tours are in the Caribbean, and I don't know if the train breaks down on a regular basis? just do not want to miss the ship leaving, just my luck, lol

Wondering if anyone has done this before and if there is anything to do on the beach while others climb the falls? Are some allowed to stay on the boat if they choose? Don’t want anyone bored in the group 😀 I have not been there for 20 years so not sure how it looks now. Thank you!

Horizon Sept 25 sailing - Took advantage of an guaranteed Oceanview casino offer, but wondering if anyone has any experience on how far in advance the cabin number is assigned? Currently says TBA on my luggage tags, but wondering if that ever changes online and if so, is it enough time to upgrade. I have this horrible fear of my husband and I being assigned bunk beds, lol…..seriously thanks!
