Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Does anyone know if Andy Elton and his wife are still on Navigator? We’re cruising in May and I hope they’re still on Navigator! We enjoyed them so much last March.
  2. Hello! What cruise line you are sailing on with determine which port it leaves from. We have two here in Seattle. Who will you be sailing with?
  3. @Ferry_Watcher how have the waits been to get on the ships these days? Have they ironed out the kinks yet? We are leaving on this Monday, June12th on Quantum of the Seas. And is early better than late, I assume? Our time slot is 11:30 but we would like to arrive earlier than that. TIA for your info!
  4. Anyone just back from quantum and can tell me what milk alternatives are on the ship? We were just on Navigator and the only milk alt they had was almond and soy. Hoping quantum has oat! We leave in on week from tomorrow. TIA!
  5. He said through October so you should be good!
  6. Thank you for this. It’s still isn’t updated for the Quantum change, but I’ll keep on eye on it. I appreciate your assistance!
  7. Has Quantum of the Seas ever docked downtown, or is it too big? We were there last May and docked at Ward Cove. My mother in laws tour company is telling her it will be docked downtown and I question if that’s correct. Also, does the ship changed to AK time zone, or does it stay on Pacific? I cannot recall what happened last year. Thank you in advance for your assistance. I have tried to research this without success. So, thanks for your patience if this has been asked a million times! 😘
  8. Hello! How formal are the formal nights on Alaska cruises? We are diamond, however, this is our first Alaska cruise! We leave on June 12th and I have heard it far less formal than Caribbean cruises. TIA!
  9. There are amazing things to see and so in and outside of Seattle. Don’t be afraid of exploring. That being said, keep away from 3rd and Pine. Pike Place, the gum wall, ferry ride over to Bainbridge or any other island, Chihuly Glass, MoPOP, Space Needle (only if it’s a clear day is it worth the price, in my opinion), harbor boat tour…I could go on and on. You can get a city pass which would save you some money. https://www.citypass.com/seattle?mv_source=rkg&adpos=&creative=617830560396&device=c&matchtype=p&network=g&gclid=Cj0KCQiA6rCgBhDVARIsAK1kGPKisoJAdBtKc7iODC6cuKNUNAFb7P9-jLMq1IF1Sc-fjwJQeLkhC9EaAvnYEALw_wcB
  10. I cannot tell you anything about the hotel itself, but the area is not ideal. As long as you don’t plan to explore outside of the hotel, I’m sure it would be fine. We have stayed near an airport (Hobby in Houston) before and we just didn’t venture very far. It was good enough for just one night. Have a wonderful cruise!
  11. Train or fly would be my recommendation. Alaska Airlines is awesome, by the way! Have a wonderful time!
  12. The neighborhood around the airport is not the best. Just an FYI.
  13. I live in the Seattle area (Redmond to be exact) and I do not like driving in Seattle at all. Traffic is ridiculous, Super hilly roads, parking is hard to come by and the parking decks are SO tight. I would Uber instead unless you plan to explore outside of the city. Just my opinion. Have a wonderful time! And steer clear of Third and Pine. Very rough intersection. Homelessness is bad, so be mindful of your surroundings.
