We were obviously younger and just had the vaccinations but we will need renewals next year as the 10 years are up. What is the age threshold for exemptions? I would imagine a note or letter from a medical practitioner would cater for the exemption.

It is strange, just checked again, no where does it say gratuities are included for our cruise. The is a pre pay grats button, but no way to pre pay, except to call the TA to sort payment of cruise. Very puzzling. I really would not be surprised to find A) grats are already incurred, or B) grats are added daily.

Sorry to hear about your fall, hope you recover fully. Grief can be weird as it can hit you most unexpectedly and not necessarily when you think it might. Today would have been my mum's birthday, and yet it doesn't seem like a sad day (yet). That said a few weeks ago something I was watching triggered me. All I can say is, grief is different for everyone and even about different people.

Yes, any shore excursions in Japan are expensive whether private or via the ship, however Japan is relatively easy to get around so the shuttles are handy.

Fair enough, we like balcony cabins but some itineraries do not warrant the extra expense. Like you said, if you cannot use the balcony, it is a waste.
