  1. I’ve heard they dumped the White and Gold night. There is no longer any mention on their web site. It’s now a “I love this party” night. Possibly 80’s themed??? (Or I might be smashing two stupid theme nights together - not that white and gold was any better, but I’m not happy I spent money on a white dress, removed the tags and washed it, and now have no use for it. Who the heck wears white and gold?)
  2. Plus how busy will it be for OceanNow Delivery for drinks and Food. I have a friend who sailed in July and he said it was useless. Either it took over an hour, or your food or drink never showed up. I'm hoping the recent changes will mean less people taking advantage of ordering thru the app. Of course, even without the package they could still pay the $14.95 to activate it.
  3. Yeppers, I don't think I could manage to sustain the level of drinking required by the packages for longer than a week 😄
  4. We are sailing late Nov. I had received an email from Princess that the second formal night would be white and gold, but it looks like its been cancelled for the "I love this Party" night - which is apparently 80's themed? Anyone know what they are doing now? Theme night are kind of fun if you want to do them, but this is ridiculous. My sailing is 37 days out and nothing shows up in my JourneyView.
  5. After all the help and answers here, I went ahead and submitted my form. They applied it to my Nov 2023 cruise. It looks like you still have to submit a separate form for every cruise though, because they didn’t credit my Oct 2024 cruise.
  6. That does happen a lot with Princess. Lol. But in the case the answer came via email.
  7. I haven’t seen it in writing. But apparently the policy is 45 days. I wonder if that applies to FCC you book onboard without a specific destination in mind? Do you have to make up your mind within 45 days of purchasing?
  8. Well dang. I may have shorted myself. My husband has the MOBC and we got that right away, but I have the SOBC. I held off submitting it when we booked earlier this year because I believed we had to wait until 90 days for SOBC. I’ll have to request it to see if we qualify for anything. Our sailing is Nov this year and another in Oct next year. I’ve been crossing my fingers since we are two individuals we would each qualify for the two different things.
  9. How did you manage to get your SOBC on a cruise 1 year out? I was told I can’t provide my SH info until 90 before sailing?
  10. I am wondering the same thing. My husband has the military OBC and I have the Shareholders. Since we are two different people, are we combining? Or are they just looking at per cabin?
  11. Princess is being sneaky with this lately. We have 4 cabins booked on a sailing in Nov. due to the problems with long hold times we decided to switch to a TA. Ours and my parents we sent right away. I had to mail the form to my brother and SILs. By the time they got the form and mailed it, a week had passed by. We waited about a month, the TA said she could see ours and my parents. I had my brother and SILs fill their out again and resend by email. This time a week goes by, still no transfer. We had them resend their emails. Princess came back and said they won’t accept transfers after 45 days of booking. If they would have processed it the first time it was sent in, it would have been within 45 days. Now we have a split booking. 2 rooms are with the TA and 2 rooms direct with Princess.
  12. I agree, I thought trying to compare the Emerald to the new Edge class ships was not a fair comparison. Solstice versus Grand and Royal versus Edge would be a more fair comparison. But saying that I did appreciate the rest of the review regarding service and food.
  13. I’ve sailed Princess to Hawaii and it was probably my favorite cruise of all time. We were on the Ruby Princess which is an older Grand Class ship, but I believe the new Discovery does it as well.
