  1. From what I seen, it’s the number of outlets. They really don’t want people plugging “n” things into 1 outlet. We take a charging block with USB outlets which handles our phones, tablets and even my computer.
  2. We were on Harmony in February and no headliners either. I checked the weekly schedule before and after and same thing. I did find one post that said they are using headliners only on longer cruises but I liked the random entertainers that were a big show production so hoping that is bad info, cound not find it anywhere else. It seems now like those only appear in the smaller venues. The comedians did do one last even show in the theater on our cruise but thats not quite the same.
  3. Per the FAQ https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-the-key-program Priority access during The Key designated arrival time (to be communicated via email). Other benefits may apply at specific ports.*
  4. Not just Australia. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy It seems like the policy has changed over the years. The main concern has been fire hazards and it seems now they are more strict on cords in general. But a lot of what we need to plug in now are usb and a usb charging hub works for us
  5. another big hike in the dining packages so the sale is more expensive. For our Feb 24 cruise, UDP was $226 last week, $261 not on sales earlier this week and $289 today. Same for the 3 meal package, has been 112 for ever with no sales and today is $132 on sale. But the drink packages are at least consistent with what they were.
  6. I am not an expert in any form, but I have been following these posts for awhile. While the original concern was around surge protectors not protecting as expected, it seems the common theme now is 1 outlet to multiple outlets. If you think about it, if you have 1 outlet and plug in a cord or device that gives you 3, that is potentially 3 times the load. If you plug in a couple of hair dryers than it is more load than anticipated. So the first device which had 3 outlets would be more likely to be taken than the 2nd one that had 1 outlet plus some USB ports. For us, we really did not have that many actual devices to plug in. Most everything we worried about used USB, so a 6 USB charger block was all we needed. There are no issues with a long USB charging cable either so the phones and tablets did not need to be right next to the outlet.
  7. I didn't to offend you or specifically what you read, I was just pointing out that for a cruse on the 4th, there isn't much different between 30 days and the start of the month previous where there is quite a difference when the cruise is the end of the month. So for people watching for it to open, perhaps the OP, where it could be 60 days for some versus 30 days for others (at least reported so far), But since they only have been doing reservations for 6 months, let's hope they will get into a more reliable pattern like they do for check in.
  8. just pointing out that the advice mentioned was around the 1st (not on) of the month preceding your cruise. For a cruise on June 4th, there's not much difference, but based on reports, the shows for the end of June also opened up the same day as yours...
  9. They are really sold out or close to it, I have watched them go down. In fact, I got one of the South beach beds myself to eliminate any crowd concerns. But you are right on prices. For comparison, the prices when the Icon is there, water park $190 (+$20), Cabanas $1700 (+300) and Coco Beach Club Cabana $3700 (+1200, yes really I double checked) . The beach beds are the same price at $210 or $329 both weeks.
  10. We go next June on the Adventure and have the Icon on the same day. All of the day beds and some of the cabanas are sold out already. Over a year in advance. We are doing a b2b and the previous week we are there with the Grandeur and very little has booked yet.
  11. Black Friday and Christmas time last year was the best prices for the photos. The thing about Royal pricing is that every price is an outlier. The post above shows list price of $299 but we are on the Harmony is February and our list price is $399. Right now, it shows as 25% off which is $299 (probably same as yours) which means it needs to be about 60% off to get to the price shown above and 70% off to get to $139 -- not sure how likely that is. But they never run out of photos so it is one you can be patient with.
  12. They only recently got this started back up and so far its been a bit more random but hopefully as you say, it will get more predictable. The key is that they have been releasing the entire month at a time, not 30 days before a specific one.
  13. They have been releasing around the start of the month before so for you that would in April, could be 1st or 3rd. I liked via browser but the app works too
  14. I think they can get more for the Chill Island ones. They are in a prime spot, nice beach area and closer to snorkeling. The Breezy Bay ones are closer to the pool area and not as nice for snorkeling. South Bay are the furthest away and also not as good of area for snorkeling and no water at low tides.
  15. The $112 seems to be the most popular prices for our cruises. For the 3 night package, to get the most value means booking restaurants on average of $37 each. This means that the ala carte menus where you only get $20 to spend would be better paid out of pocket.
