  1. Thank you! I am living vicariously through your posts! We were supposed to sail Sunshine June 2-6, but one kid asymptomatic tested positive, so now don't go till August 6, when I am sure it will be super hot and super crowded! And was over double the fare! But, what's done is done! Enjoy your cruise!!
  2. When looking at images of half moon cay, all I see are chairs and clamshells you rent through shore excursions. Are there umbrellas also? I need shade! I can bring one, but would rather not! thank you!

  4. You have the same number of crew on the ship, no matter the number of days for the sailing...so this is not the real reason. Must be cost cuts. Though the price of my cruise was not cut......doubled actually when I had to rebook due to a positive COVID in our group. Not that I care much about the tea, just give us real reasons that make sense. If it is staffing, it would be eliminated on ALL sailings, not just 6 days and under. Sheesh......
  5. COVID numbers are up everywhere, so it stands to reason they will go up for passengers on a cruise ship as well. We can just as easily get it at home right now. As someone said, take precautions for yourself to lessen the chances of getting it. That is what I plan to do in 2 weeks and the same thing I do anywhere I go around town.
  6. I don't think it matters if you're late, you just can't get on earlier.
  7. Cruise cash is non-refundable, so if something happens and you can't cruise or don't sue it all, you lose it. Doesn't seem right, butt hat's the way it is!
  8. My 5 excursions were cancelled because Carnival changed the itinerary, but they did not refund me properly. I am short 158.55. Trying to figure out how to get that corrected since it's impossible to call anyone and no email address for help.
  9. Stopping it because of staffing issues on shorter cruises makes no sense to me. How can you have any different staffing issues on shorter cruises than you do longer ones? Just like no lobster dinner for 5 or less days. It's clearly something else, monetary no doubt. Shorter cruises get shortchanged, they should just be honest about it. Even though the per day cruise rate is the same or more than longer cruises.....My guess is because for shorter cruises, they have to have those food items served more often than on a 7 or more day. ie: serving lobster once every 4 days vs once every 7 days. Same with the tea.....It's the money not the staffing.

  11. I booked excursions for NASSAU that has now been changed to Bimini. The email says refund payment will be sent in a new gift card (as that is how I paid for them originally). Does anyone know if this is a gift card mailed or an egift card? And also, does anyone know how long it takes Carnival to issue these? I will need to use that to re-book other excursions, etc. I won't need a $500.00 gift card after the fact. Thank you! Debbie
  12. Thank you for doing this. We will be sailing June 2 with 3 grandchildren (7, 12, 14), but they will be supervised! We go to Nassau, the dates for HMC didn't work, I would have preferred that.
