  1. We did a cruise to Bermuda years ago and the Love Boat was tied up at the Dockyard while we were in Hamilton on Celebrity's Horizon. When we got back to NYC we were on the opposite side of the same pier with the Pacific Princess.
  2. I don't think anyone has made the argument that being late is OK or even that the ship should wait around for stragglers. Quite simply, none of us knows the circumstances creating the problem and the lack of compassion and sense of entertainment in other's misfortune is eye opening.
  3. If you find that Hideaway doesn't suit your needs for whatever reason, I would recommend you try South Beach. It is further away from the dock area. I found it very quiet and not really an area that would be an attraction for kids.
  4. I've seen some posts on "the book" RCI related areas. They can be vicious over there.
  5. I did not utilize Hideaway. I would just say for those trying to decide, don't make your decision based solely on, maybe, better food. The regular food on Coco Cay is actually good. Don't extrapolate from possible past experiences at Labadee.
  6. I'm not surprised this was extended. Things have only become worse in Haiti. I can't imagine RCI trying to defend itself when some lawyer asks the CEO..... if you thought it was necessary to close Labadee two weeks ago then how did you feel it was appropriate to re-open it at this point in time?
  7. I agree with you on this point. I do have a satellite watch but I don't take it on cruises. I always have my old school regular watch that doesn't change time unless I make the change. The one thing that I will point out here is that during daylight savings time St. Thomas and the U.S. east coast have the same time so I'm not sure smart phones can be blamed for this occurrence but who knows.
  8. No one here knows the story with those people. Am I surprised that some here have no sympathy? No, not surprised at all. It is a frequent occurrence with people here on CC on many different subjects. Those that actually enjoy seeing others in distress, whatever the reason may be and look at it as entertainment, what can I say other than it speaks volumes about yourself.
