I was really hoping to see a Panama Canal out of LAX in fall 2025. When do those usually come out?

Hmmm, I'm hoping that someone who has been on Icon can confirm. It seems odd that their newest ship doesn't allow for streaming!? Those 4 channels just don't cut it!

We did the transatlantic on Odyssey so spent lots of time on her. We loved the shows for the most part. My husband enjoyed the Seaplex and all the activities that came with that (Pickleball, ping pong, volleyball, basketball, bumper cars, etc). We had most of our lunches in Two70 because I love those sandwiches and it was just a comfortable place to hang out. Our biggest complaint: It was completely impossible to get a specialty coffee (that wasn't Starbucks)!! Our cabin was at the front of the ship, and one had to trek to Two70 or Windjammer to get a latte every morning. There were no latte's (that were included in drinks package or Diamond discount) on the Promenade. This was a first for us as every other Royal ship we'd been on had good coffee in Cafe Promenade, but on Odyssey they only have regular coffee (which I refer to as sludge). 🙂

I was just reading on Royal Caribbean blog that Icon of the Seas TVs don't have the ability to stream Netflix, etc from your phone. Is this true? What about if we bring a HDMI cable from a laptop, does anyone know if that will work?

Yes, but also it's often families that don't end up showing up and opting to go to Windjammer. You'll always have no-shows.

I'll be following along. I am wondering for My Time Dining, if like on Odyssey, you can go to the regular dining rooms about 20 mins after first seating and get seated? This is how we got early seating and not have to wait until 7pm. They were filling up the empty spots of those that didn't show up.

@luckyfincruiser I was wondering how hot you were on this tour? I don't do well in sweltering heat persay, but this does seem very interesting!

We did the Transatlantic in October on Odyssey and everything worked wonderfully. My husband and I were able to do full Zoom meetings with no issue from the middle of the Atlantic. I also streamed Netflix with no issues.

I wonder when fall 2025 TA's are coming out? They only have the one on Independence right now.

I don't think 100% refunds are being offered, just 100% if you move it to another cruise. It is still nice of them. I thought of switching, but decided to stick with the Greek isles.

Before this happened, Celebrity wasn't clear which is why I got an evisa. I will definitely let you know what transpires. It's like a soap opera at this point 🤣

I would just wait to see what happens with the cruises to Egypt that are starting in 10 days. All will be answered!
