  1. If your ship is in until 8, you get to go to Happy Hours! If your ship docks at Havensight, go to Tap and Still for select $4 drinks starting at 3. Agave also has Happy Hour starting at 3 and has discount on starters and some drinks. I should post my pictures of the beautiful flautas! The Happy Hour at the Green House in town on the Waterfront has 2 for 1 on any drink starting at 4:30, I think. There may be others, but these are my favorites right now..
  2. From Havensight dock posted fare is $14 per person each way. It's about $2 more per person from Crown Bay, I think.
  3. Please post your experience. People used to ask about beach massages, but the businesses here prefer the sanitary conditions of their spa. They can't control the conditions on the beach. Now that Frenchman's Reef has reopened, their spa may have a more upscale atmosphere. You can take their little ferry from the St Thomas waterfront to Frenchman's Reef which would be more of an adventure.
  4. There are 2 ports. Which ship are you on?
  5. This spa is close to the Havensight dock where most ships except Royal Caribbean dock. https://www.spausvi.com/
  6. No longer the case. There's a booth where you pay right by the chairs that are already set up. I think they initiated this set up in January 2024.
  7. They recently started setting them out before the beach opens. Pictures of current set up are online on Google Maps. I posted some photos in another thread somewhere in this forum.
  8. Thank you, philv, for your great Magens Report! I have seen recent YouTube videos that don't recommend Magens, and I think those videos miss what makes Magens special. Depending on when you arrive at the beach, you may not be able to enjoy Magens as it is designed to be enjoyed. 1. Natural shade from trees along the shore saves early visitors the expense of an umbrella. 2. There are free picnic tables along the beach that are often under shade trees, but the shade may move as the sun moves. 3. There's a great nature trail that goes straight up the hill behind the beach, and is very popular with those who want to do more than relax on the beach. There are youtube videos of the trail, but imo the ones I've seen don't do it justice. 4. There's also an area with signs suggesting things to do with your children at the beach. Now that cruisecritic makes it easy to share pictures, I'll take pictures soon and post rather than try to find my old ones. 5. You can bring your own food and drink. Many cruisers buy delicious sandwiches at Gourmet Gallery at Havensight, snacks and beverages at Gourmet Gallery and other stores in Havensight or Crown Bay. Some cruisers bring collapsible coolers to transport their refreshments so they can stay cold. 6. If you walk down the beach to the left as you face the water, it should be less crowded. 7. Groups can also rent sheds with shade, tables, and electricity if they want to have amenities for private parties. Magens is a sandy bottom beach, so not great for snorkeling. There are, however, some fish in the water that you can see just by being in the water. If you want to snorkel, there are beaches that have better snorkeling experience. It is a challenge to keep Magens clean throughout the day, especially if people don't clean up after themselves. But, areas away from the snack bar are usually cleaner. Will post pictures in another post.
  9. I'm glad he was available for you! Please let us know how it went.
  10. Nice young taxi driver. Dennis Gonzalez 340 998 6646 Dennis@ bwtoursvi.com
  11. Hezekiah responded. He's on a military assignment for 2 weeks, but can be reached at 340 201 5180. But I will still post other numbers tomorrow, Saturday.
  12. I was wondering if some had transitioned to Viator and other online third parties. That way they don't have the hassle and expense of creating and maintaining their own website, but I prefer to book directly with tour guide, too. I am waiting for him to respond to my message. He does military duty with National Guard or something, so may not be on island now. More info tomorrow, Saturday!
  13. Google "taxi Hezekiah st thomas". He's on Twitter and I'm not so I can't access his contact. I saw him giving a tour and had his card but can't find it now. He caught my attention because he has a very outgoing personality. Will post more numbers from my old phone later today. Hezekiah's number is one of the numbers in my old phone.
  14. I saw this driver in a cruiser's YouTube video a few months ago, and added him to my contacts. I thought he was really good on the video. Ivan is his name. Phone number on his taxi was 340 643 6963.
  15. You asked similar question on TripAdvisor, right? I responded there. Best to take an island tour that includes beach stop. Google St Thomas Island Tours to compare prices and itineraries.
