  1. The distance between Orlando and Tampa is about 90 miles. I would imagine using Uber would cost you a fortune not to mention having to leave Orlando very early to get to your ship on time. I would be worried about car trouble or heavy traffic, or whatever and not making it to Tampa for the cruise. I don’t know how much renting a car would be, but it seems like it would be the same problem. Also then you have to get from Tampa back to Orlando in time for your flight after the cruise. I’d be a nervous wreck. If it were me, I’d fly in and out of Tampa, your cruise isn’t until December so airline prices may drop.
  2. The sofa beds are never as comfortable as a real bed in my opinion. Would be ok for kids but for us seniors not so much.
  3. Sofa beds are never comfortable and the very thought of 4 in one cabin would make me stay home.
  4. Has anyone stayed recently at the Home2 suites by the airport/cruise port?
  5. So if you lower the window and the AC turns off about how long does it take for your cabin to get too warm, sailing on Beyond in Sept and wonder if we made a mistake booking the IV.
  6. Ha! If I had a two-foot drop to deal with they would be evacuating me to the nearest hospital.☹️
  7. Has anyone ever had a bad experience using this service?
  8. Did you end up booking the hotel? I was going to suggest looking up downtown Miami hotels and seeing which one has a $37 per night resort fee. also, how did $150 per night turn out to be $448 for two nights?
  9. Thanks for the info, this is helpful. Wonderful not to have to lug your carry-on to the buffet.
  10. So if you board the ship and go to your stateroom to pick up your card am I correct assuming you leave your carry-on luggage there while the cabin is still being cleaned?
  11. Thanks for the info. A lot of older people, including myself have trouble climbing the ladder so I was hoping it would be stairs.
  12. You can spend the entire day at CocoCay without paying a dime. The Lagoon swimming pool is free with plenty of lounge chairs all around it. The beaches are all free unless you want to pay for one of those specialty beaches but the reality is it’s all the same water. One time we did the beach club at an extra charge, but I don’t think I’d pay again to use it. The beverage package is usable at CocoCay at least on Royal Caribbean it was. Plenty of free food all over the island. There’s also a tram that will take you from one place to another and tram stations are located throughout the island.
  13. Does the solarium pool on the Beyond have steps to get in the water or only ladders? I can only see the ladders looking at the pictures. Thanks.
  14. We stayed at the Hyatt. It’s right at the Orlando airport just upstairs from baggage claim. The next day we took CORTRANS shuttle to the ship.
