  1. It was Not identical in 2023. We were on it. It was Victoria and next Day Seattle for US Customs and then HNL departure. It was not a Hawaiian cruise it was a Pacific NW. The US Customs took some people up to 3 hr with no breakfast in huge lines in the terminal for NON USA citizens. USA were lined up inside at another check in. It was the same length but the ports were not great. We have seen Victoria and Seattle all our lives living in the PNW.
  2. This itinerary is still better I feel than what we had last Oct. on OV. As I posted above- it was Victoria BC and next day Seattle to do a lengthly US Customs. Then Napili Coast Line all day to look at and disembark in HNL. Welcome all new Passengers! Hotels are expensive here and depending on the events happening in town too. There are accommodations by YVR and the Canada Line train takes about 30 min to take you to Waterfront Station. That is just over a block to walk to Canada Place and the pier. The Expo Line train leaves/arrives at Waterfront Station and you could perhaps find less costly accommodation in the suburbs by a Skytrain Station. Below is an area in the suburbs you could check out. Hotels | Metrotown, Burnaby, BC
  3. Agreed. We are not over night in Vancouver for a day in port. It is just a later delay leaving in the dark. Too bad as the sail away is quite lovely going by Stanley Park in Vancouver and squeezing under the Lions Gate Bridge. This is our 3rd in a row for a Fall Ovation to Hawaii and we have had different times to depart for them all. Tides do their own thing. LOL
  4. 10/5/24 Sat Vancouver, British Columbia 1:00 AM This means just after midnight of Oct. 4 meaning 1 AM on Oct. 5. [Please know, our check-in remains unchanged, and all guests should be checked-in in and onboard by 5:00 PM.]. US Customs and Security would be closed at the Terminal, l I would assume. I do not see that as an extra day in Vancouver. All aboard at 5 PM the email told us. It is just a delayed deaparture due to the Tide is how I see it. Not an extra Vancouver day. If was another Whole day it would be--- "Oct 6 @ 1 AM" not Oct 5 @ 1 AM.
  5. The Premium drink package was in a generous HIA early booking bonus for 17 nt and is also with the Crew Gratuities along with other nice perks, hence I used the "too", meaning also. Thanks!
  6. We are fine with the increase but wondered if it was a locked price when you book. Premium Drinks are in our HIA too, so I doubt they add the increase to those? Thanks
  7. We have HIA booked with Gratuities included also. So, we don't pay any increases since we booked the cruise? We are new to HAL. Thanks
