Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi all, is there such a thing of 7-days New-Zealand cruise only? Without going to Australia? I can't find any. Maybe NZ have its own cruise line. Thanks
  2. Weather wise, its looking a bit better according the latest report. https://www.radio1.pf/previsions-meteo-les-nouvelles-sont-plutot-bonnes/
  3. Good day all cruisers. Please keep an eye on the weather forecast for this week in Tahiti. Your flight may/could be impacted. Safe travel. (we are arrivng Tuesday night). Tropical Depression - TD06F https://meteo.pf/fr/actualites/communique-meteorologique-2?fbclid=IwAR1tDFy6AC7a8t-8hMZfLB-cc-NFET1U2fp3GAi5Ywa8sC55JSQwxC7lf3c https://www.facebook.com/MeteoFrancePolynesieFrancaise
  4. You don't need to be rude. This web page is maintained by CC so, yes I read their opinion too.
  5. Its not random info, its from the staff of CC.
  6. From cruise Critic: Can I bring booze onboard an Oceania cruise? Bringing alcohol onboard at embarkation: Passengers may not bring their own beer or liquor onboard, but may bring a maximum of three bottles of wine or Champagne per cabin for the duration of a cruise (this includes embarkation and purchasing onshore during a port call). A corkage fee of $25 applies if wine is consumed in a public area or dining room; there is no charge to drink it within the stateroom. Purchasing alcohol in port to bring onboard: Wine bought ashore is allowed so long as it does not exceed the three bottles per cabin maximum. A corkage fee of $25 applies if wine is consumed in a public area or dining room. Passengers can bring liquor or beer onboard, as well, but it will be held until the end of the cruise.
  7. I thought you could not bring liquor on board (Rum, Gin, Vodka) ?
  8. Our first cruise with Oceania is in french polynésia next month. Cruise fare only (no beer, wine, champagne, excursion, OBC). We only have the wifi and the tips included. We always book our excursion ourselves. If there is no option to opt-out in the future, that will be our first and last cruise with O as the $$$ value is important to us.
  9. And that is what we will do. If I understand, guest who paid the Simply More package gets wine, beer and champagne at dining venue. What about sea days when you are on a lounger for most of the day. They have to pay their drink??
  10. Geez, If all I want are Rum Coke, gin tonic or the odd rum punch I have to upgrade to the Mixed drink Prestige?
  11. Anywhere near the market, even facing the road are mostly good. Lots of traffic but easy walk to everything. Fare Suisse was also very good (and quiet, except for the rosters but you already know about them). I just pick 2 random date in Jan. 2025 and this shows up. Very close the where we were.
  12. They (the sailing ship) cost Windstar close to nothing when it acquired them. So any refurb is not going to treaten their bottom line, on the contrary.
  13. We are on the Oceania in tahiti next month but my thought goes for Windstar also. We are part of a groupe of 20 people from Montreal, most in their 70's. They all took the flight package from Oceania. The have a very difficult day ahead of them. No chance to change their flight. Flight leave Montreal at 10AM on a Thursday they flies to Toronto (4hrs lay-over), then flies to LAX (3hrs layover) then arrives in PPT at 6AM. They could have opted to do a 2 day pre-cruise flight but the cost was outrageous. We made our own arrangement and flying 3 days before, staying in papeete in an Airbnb that we know. And we are in our 50's but the deal for the 10-day cruise only price was too good to pass.
  14. Going on the Nautica in polynesia next month then a 2 weeks stay i Mooreea. No space for a jacket. Only bringing my polynesian short sleeve shirts. It is what it is (and they're really nice too :-) )
  15. Hi there. They are closed in February. They reopen in March. Thanks
