Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We were on Connie's 11 night too on March 6 sailing. We had a table for 8 and ate every night in the Main Dining Room. None of my tablemates came away hungry but food selections were inconsistent. One evening 4 people ordered the breaded pork chop. Three were not edible and one was fine. The beef selections were also inconsistent. The evening we ordered Steak Diane rare and mine came well done and my husband's medium. Most of us ordered prime rib the last night and it was sliced paper thin and even though we all ordered medium rare some got well done etc. One night my husband and I ordered the beef toronedos and we could not cut into it as it was so tough and fatty. Most every night someone at our table ordered the fish selection. The portions were so small that everyone started ordering 2 fish entrees. On a positive note, soups were always good and the desserts did not disappoint. Midway though the cruise the maitre 'd came to our table with one of the chefs and asked our honest opinion of the food selections. Everyone agreed that the beef selections were not acceptable and consistency was a problem. Having been on 50+ cruises mostly on Royal or Celebrity we always looked forward to our evening meal in the main dining room but that is not the case anymore. Instead of trying to decide between 2 entrees (as in previous cruises) we settle on one and hope it is acceptable. We have been on 4 Celebrity cruises since the shutdown and have a cruise on the Reflection transatlantic in October. We will probably cancel.
  2. Thank you for taking time to leave a review of your cruise. I gleened alot of information as my husband and I will be on the March 6 cruise on the Constellation. On the past 2 Celebrity cruises I have been on I was cold during the evening hours. I ended up buying some wraps at the $10 sale and used them the entire cruise. How was the temperature on your cruise?
  3. My family (14 of us) were on Oasis of the Seas over Thanksgiving. On the second day of the cruise my husband was exhibiting Covid symptoms. We took home tests with us and he tested positive. I called medical and told them he had covid and asked someone to come to our cabin as he was really sick in bed. They told me he had to come down to Medical and Medical closed at 7:30 pm. We made the decision not to go. For the remainder of the cruise we did not receive a call or inquiry as to how he was doing. He was really sick for 3 days before he started feeling better. He isolated in our room. I had packed some cough and cold meds so we managed. If you have Covid while on a Royal cruise and I presume Celebrity (as they are under the same umbrella) they do not want to know.
  4. I was quarantined on Brilliance in May. We were on a B2B and I got Covid on the 8th day. We stayed on ship until I tested negative in Athens. We just got a notification that the days I was quarantined were refunded to our credit card. Before you leave the ship make sure you get a paper that states the first day you tested positive and get a seperate Certificate of Recovery. Even though I was on RCCL the protocols seem to be the same.
