Thanks for your review. I’m also interested in how you got to the pier. We’ll be sailing soon and are concerned mostly about getting an Uber/Lyft when debarking. From what I’ve read it’s a madhouse getting into/ out of the pier. I’m thinking to drive instead of having to deal with calling for a car even though we live 45 minutes away from the BCT. It may be worth the extra cost just to be able to get off the ship and go directly to our car.

Does that mean pay when you return from your cruise?

Gregorygo, Thank you so much for the detailed report with OnPoint. It is very helpful since there is a lot that these companies doing the proctored tests don’t tell you until you make the purchase! For those who used emed or rapidtestandtrace, was passport or cruise line information required? Seems odd to me that they need this information. Glad it went well for you, have a great and healthy cruise.

Thank you so much for offering to report back. I think I read someone said they had problems making an appointment they wanted. How many days prior to the day you wanted the test did you purchase it? I’m thinking to purchase a few days before. Wondering since rapidtestandtrace gives you a preview calendar of test availability whereas Onpoint doesn’t.

Thank you Biker19. I just chatted online with them and they said I should install the Microsoft Teams app for a better connection. All of this is so stressful! We are on a Medicare Advantage Plan (HMO) and they will not cover the rapid antigen test so we decided to do the online proctored one. At least this way I don’t have to go to Walgreens and know that I will pay only $20 for a rapidtestandtrace session.

I am planning on using Rapid Test and Trace with my IPhone for my cruise in two weeks. This is the first time I am hearing I need Microsoft Teams to do the test? Sorry, I’m a bit confused, what is Microsoft Teams? Is it something that is already installed on an IPhone?

ILOVESHIPS, That is terrible! Were you able to retest without having to pay the fee again? I guess that’s why they say to have an extra test. Hope it turned out well with you and you were able to go on your cruise.

Thanks so much to everyone who posted this info. I also have the home ihealth and Abbott tests. It will save me money and worry as I won’t have to worry about getting them in the mail in time. if anyone has used the Rapid test and trace proctor service lately please let us know how it went.
