  1. I think you all already know that Baltra and Quito are in different time zones. It shouldn't be a problem. It is more confusing when you get off the ship in Baltra because ship time = Quito time. So the clock changes the instant you get off the zodiac on your return trip to Baltra.
  2. When you go on the Teleferico, do that as early in the day as you can before the clouds roll in. We had a thick blanket of clouds that obscured our view of Quito initially. After half an hour or so, we got lucky and had a break in the clouds.
  3. I can see a couple of kayaks on the bow in this photo I took when we were at Puerto Ayora in late November.
  4. When you are writing your post, you can add photos easily via the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." at the bottom of the posting window.
  5. Posting a review on the main Celebrity board is tons better as you pointed out and you will get really important Q&A that cannot occur in the Cruise Review section. Also it is nicer to embed your photos in a post than as attachments in a cruise review.
  6. On our Xpedition sailing last November, there were Celebrity naturalists at the GPS terminal to receive all passengers including people that booked their air independently. And they were there for both Xploration and Xpedition as both ships started their cruises on the same day. I’m pretty sure there had to be a Celebrity rep to receive independent guests because there is a special shuttle bus that takes you from GPS to the zodiac dock which takes you to your ship. We had about 12-13 passengers on our Xpedition sailing that booked the trip cruise-only. Xpedition Director and her naturalists at GPS
  7. I noticed that, too. When I was looking over Galapagos cruises a while back, I noticed a very uneven rollout of the itineraries. So I think that this could mean anything. We will see.
  8. Very nice first post on Cruise Critic (and very nice second cruise!)! For your group of 12, did you sail with two naturalists? Happy 10th anniversary, btw. So next cruise is not until 2034 (10 years)?
  9. You are most welcome. I sincerely hope that you thoroughly enjoy your first Celebrity cruise!
  10. Have fun on your trip, I know you will enjoy it. Celebrity does an excellent job. David
  11. We sail on Apr 20th and our app also shows room service charge....
  12. I did remember the odd shower configuration in our room as well. However our room was not narrow. If you had breakfast at the executive lounge, hopefully you discovered the Quiet Area to eat (no kids). The lounge was large enough that it took us a couple of days before we found it. Awesome that you had tea at Raffles.
  13. I don' t think I have posted this in this thread: here is a 2024 Galapagos Shore Excursion Brochure. It is written specifically for Flora, but the descriptions of the shore excursion were similar to what we experience during last Nov's Xpedition sailing. I imagine it similarly applies to Xploration. Xpedition anchored off of Punta Suarez, Isla Espanola, Nov 24 2023
  14. Here are some information flyers specifically about Xploration published by Celebrity: 1. Deck Plans (I realize that it's not all that complicated) 2. Fact Sheet (Captain Alban is now Xpedition's captain) 3. Staterooms 4. Xploration Charter 5. Xploration itineraries Lazy sea lion, Isla Santa Fe, Nov 19 2023
  15. Thank you for the news. The late night room service fee was something that was originally instituted back around 2017 (give or take a year) before the general room service charge was assessed--and now gone, hopefully.
