Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Ditto for us regarding the "happy place". We leave next Thursday for our drive to San Pedro and our upcoming Sapphire Princess cruise. We expect to spend most of our time up in the Sanctuary.
  2. The lack of a Sanctuary makes the Majestic a no-go for us. We found the Hollywood Conservatory to be quite depressing. We have stayed at the Four Seasons a couple of times in Sydney and it's hard to beat the location. Have a great cruise, and hope to see you again on a future cruise!
  3. If you have Global Entry, you need to log into your Global Entry account and update the passport number tied to your Global Entry card. We just did this in January for my wife's new passport.
  4. Depending on the length of the B2B, the battery may die in your medallion. It's an easy fix - go to the guest services desk and they will replace it. Sometimes they can tell if the battery is dying and will ask you to come to guest services for a pre-emptive battery replacement.
  5. It’s the Golden Princess. Put the image in 3D mode and zoom in.
  6. I think $30/day is (or I guess was) the full cruise price, not full week.
  7. We were in L108 in November/December on the Enchanted. This cabin has a wraparound balcony and the door was on the side, not in the front. It was a transatlantic crossing and the winds on the cruise were quite strong at times. I tried to keep the balcony table upside down when it was windy to prevent it from banging against the cabin. One evening during the crossing I could hear the table moving around and when I looked out the sliding glass door, I saw the table fly by, hitting the partition between our balcony and our neighbor's. The table was at eye level - thankfully I didn't step outside otherwise it could have been messy. Great cabin, but I'm not sure we'd do it again, mostly because it's so far away from everything, not because of the balcony.
  8. The other itinerary used to be Tahiti when the former Renaissance ships (aka the "Little Girls") were there. Again, it had a large number of first time cruisers. We received our first MTP invite with just over 200 days on the Pacific Princess. Since then we've had one other invite, but I don't remember which cruise.
  9. Not necessarily. We're 47 days out and just received a shipping notification. It should be here on Tuesday since there's no mail delivery this coming Monday (President's Day).
  10. If your picture had panned a little bit more to the left, we would have been in the photo...
  11. Here's the one we use. I like this because it accepts both 2 and 3 pronged US style plugs. https://www.amazon.com/Ceptics-European-Adapter-Adaptor-Charger/dp/B01NCZJ5UN?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1
  12. My first CPAP had the fuses and a switch to change the voltage. I don’t miss those days. Always read the fine print on the transformer - lots of good information there.
  13. Reserved loungers in a reasonably quiet area (the soft mood music does get a bit tiresome). Children are not allowed. You choose the location of the lounger. Depending on the cruise, you may want to go to the Sanctuary as soon as you board since it can sell out quickly. It's $40 for a full day, $20 for a half day, and $30 for a full day if you book the entire cruise. These prices are per person. They also have cabanas, but I don't know the pricing for them.
  14. While I haven't seen "Words and Music" in years, it was a staple on Princess for a lonnnnng time.
