Both are very nice and we prefer Hyatt Place. They are the most accomodating, friendly, never had an issue. Plus it is closer to Duffy's, and a few other places we like to eat at. We sign up for a shuttle and come down to meet it about 5-10 min before departure. Never felt cramped staying there.

Hyatt Place has always got us in a room when there is one available. Usually 12-1 at the latest. They will hold your bags and text you when they have one ready. We head over to Duffy's sports bar for lunch and drinks. Duffy's has 2 for 1 drinks all day every day.

LX200GPS, Princess does not make you wait if you come early to the ship??? We are going on Emerald Princess on May 20th. for a 10 day. Our first Princess.

We are going on Icon out of Miami that same weekend. Were wanting to stay in Ft. Lauderdale that same weekend until I seen the prices. We are staying at Yotel downtown Miami near Bayside for $200. Miami is typically higher than Lauderdale, but not this weekend. Have been to Rennasiance but it was many years ago. It was nice.

If I had no luggage then it would be walkable and I would still get transportation. It is very close to the port entrance and is about a block and a half to Duffy's sports bar in the Harbor Shops. 2 for 1 drinks all day every day and the food is pretty dam good. We go there right after getting into our hotel. There are several other restaurants in the Harbor Shops area, or a block or 2 away. Riverside downtown is in a great location also, just a bit farther from airport and port.

Blue Water, Hyatt Place from May 1 thru Sept 30 on Value Trips is either fri- sat 119 or M-T 109 a night plus tax. Oct 1- Dec31, M-T 129 or F-S 149 a night. Rates for 2025 do not come out till very late in the year.

Embassy Suites a few blocks away has long term parking. I want to say like $75 a week.

What cruise line are you refering of????

No way would I even walk to Princess terminal, I know its only about 3-4 blocks from H.I. Wheels on luggage would get destroyed.

We are on Icon this coming October. Save us some food OK, just kidding. Enjoy yours also.

Shuttle to the port is $9 PP sign up night before. 10.11.12.1 Airport to the hotel is Avanti 954-655-1376. Call when you have your luggage and he will be there in 10-12 min. $8 PP I was quoted for 2. Might be less PP for more I am not sure you can call and ask. Do not use a Cab they have gotten really bad at trying to overcharge.
