Hope you have a great cruise. I just got off that morning. Let us know when they have the 4 & 5 * Mariners Reception on your cruise, please. Very disappointed to discover that ours was 1-2 p.m. on embarkation day. We didn't even see our invite until too late, after our leisurely MDR lunch, then to the internet center, guest services, etc. to set up what we wanted to do on board. Was told that it was a management decision to hold the reception before all the guests had boarded. Why not on one of our two sea days???

Just off Nieuw Statendam Dec. 3rd, she is looking lovely. Sailed on her back in Jan. 5-19, 2020 and this was our first post-COVID-19-lockdown cruise. We also sailed on the previous Statendam in her 1993 inaugural year. I miss the dining room experience on that older ship, especially the cold soups and the multiple choices of seafood on the menu. Escargot today is a disappointing version of the meatier ones back then.

Hello, everyone. My sister and I are booked on this cruise. Neither of us has been to Indonesia so it will be a new experience, although we have cruised many times and once previously on Viking Oceans. My Sis, the intrepid traveler, has traveled in China and Southeast Asia. I appreciate any and all information and suggestions about what to see and where to go in our ports.
