Seaside has a second, smaller buffet on deck 16. It is only open for breakfast and lunch, so afternoon and evening you might be able to find tables there.
Yes, wish they would replace this cam…but part of it is the angle of the sun in the mornings. There will be two more cams, one overlooking the Pedro Miguel locks, and the cam at Cocoli Locks. Ship can also be seen passing by the Miraflores Locks. They can be found at multimedia.panama-canal.com. EM
Have you considered any other cruise lines? Carnival’s Dream class and newer have Deluxe OV cabins that have the twin/king, sofa bed, and two uppers. Also a split bath: two showers, two sinks, one toilet. EM
Go to cruisetimetables.com. From the tab Cruises to… select ports you want to visit, and the time you want to go. It will tell you who calls there and their itineraries. Better than weeding through cruise line websites. EM
I keep coming back because I can drive two hours to the closest port. JAX is so easy. I know what to expect. I would like to sail from more places but air is so complicated, no direct flights anywhere. I do also drive to Port Canaveral but I do an over night halfway. EM
