Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I used this kind for all my other cruises!! 😍 Always lost "stones" by the end of the cruise🀣
  2. @Biker19 any idea what kind of card the Ovation uses? Can it be punched?
  3. This is exactly why, just easier to keep up with! Our upcoming cruise is Alaska and while I know its going to be different type of clothing than a Caribbean cruise (and I have done both!) it just seems a lanyard would make things easier. We also have 2 kids (8&5). Trying to figure out how to handle their cards as well. If me or my DH are keeping up with them thats 2 extra. Its been a hot minuet, like 9 years, since we have cruised so just to get my mom brain to remember all the things! And this will be our first with RC.
  4. I'm super confused. First time Royal cruiser AND I'm from the old days of cruising where you got your card at check in. So If your sea pass card is in your room and you cant get to it until after 1pm.... how do you "ding" to get on the ship, and buy drinks and such before you get your cards? Also... does RC card come with a hole or slot for lanyard? Is the lanyard even still a thing?? Do you have to visit GS to get a hole punch?
  5. We are traveling Aug 19th from Seattle on Ovation with an 11am check in time and we are in a Jr Family Suite. Do we need to register the kids for testing or just show up at our selected time, hop in the suite line and go from there? Also, have you ever seen anyone politely refuse the test for their children? Of course will be coming with their PCR test results. The PCR will be the first time 2 of 3 have ever tested. Will they allow Parents to swab the kids or does staff do the swab? One more question, have you seen any unvax Adults cruise from Seattle? We have a few in our group (some medical reasons, some religious reasons) They got an email back from Canada saying something like "this is not an approval, you do not need one.... but any unvax persons may cruise if they do not disembark into Canada" which they all will 100% abide by! We have send that email onto RC and are waiting to hear if accepted. Just wondering what you have seen regarding this. Thank you @Ferry_Watcherfor all your info on Seattle, you have helped me so much in planning! πŸ₯°
  6. How crazy!! I also was in Seattle in 2011. We took an Alaska cruise for our honeymoon! We went the First week of May. So wild that we are going back this year too, like you did!
  7. Oh wow! Hope this is untrue or fixed quickly! We have a stop in Skagway Aug 22.
  8. Right?! So confusing! I have friends who had rented and paid for a jeep with DIY and they have heard NOTHING regarding any type of change. We are in Skagway the end of August and I'm worried for them.
  9. 9pm would be so great!! I also trust the printed more than what the app is showing and 8pm just doesn't make sense.
  10. Thursday is our only day. We fly in Wed & our ship leaves on Friday.
  11. This is the route we are going to try. The WJ closes at 8pm and our tour returns to the dock at 7:45pm. Im concerned about getting 15 people (some children, some with mobility issues) off the tour boat, back on the ship, upstairs, bathroom stop, washing hands, plates filled, fining tables, yaada yaada yaada... all in 15 mins! If they would agree to a 8:30 dinning in the MRD that would be best for us I believe. I do not understands why the WJ closes at 8pm thats just wild to me, 9pm seems much more appropriate πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
  12. I totally agree! We absolutely would not show up late and expect service in the main dinning if arrangements haven't been made and approved by the staff. We aren't "those people"πŸ˜‚. I've seen this happen and I'm always thinking "wow, some people"
  13. We will let them them know! Thanks for the reminder! I know little things like that make a big difference.
  14. Hi All! We are coming in 2days before our cruise and hope to make our way to MT Rainier NP to also check that off our NP list while we are so close. Any tips on which entry to use, best visitor center for Junior Ranger workbook and Badges, best/favorite hiking trails for family, or awesome drives with epic view payoffs?? I'm not sure why it seems that Rainier NP isn't talked about very much. I'll admit when we were in Seattle for our Honeymoon cruise, I didn't even realize it was a NP! being from Oklahoma we also couldn't figure out why people were so excited that "the mountain was out" πŸ˜‚ It seemed that was all anyone in Seattle was talking about that day! Anyway, any tip, trick or links to info blogs are much appreciated!
  15. I found it. Took me a min. This is my first time with RC
