Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Now. Two things. Prices are only likely to go up. You can always cancel,(if its a separate purchase, not part of a package with wifi) and repurchase at the discounted price.
  2. Glad to see Celebrity is listening. I like.this new president. https://youtu.be/vlgWABFFnF4?si=vcSdwqJfqLx9qsIE
  3. I assume you are asking in relation to the anytime dining option. My wife and I have been on numerous Edge cruises but we always have cruised with friends. With anytime dining you may go to any of the 4 restaurants at anytime and ask to be seated. They will give you a buzzer when your table is ready it goes off. You could go to the same restaurant every night and ask for the same waiter and they will try to accommodate you or you can make reservations at any restaurant ahead of time. Be aware that you can order any menu item from any of the four restaurants at any of the restaurants. So, if you want the Greek specialty at the Cosmo, they will bring it to you. (all 4 menus are on the Celebrity App) Sometimes, if you don't have a reservation you can just choose to go to the restaurant with the least people waiting.
  4. Personally, I would not leave RCCL's private area. https://www.travelmarketreport.com/Cruise/articles/Royal-Caribbean-Monitoring-Haiti-Violence
  5. Thanks. I guess my major concern would be about the number of people who would want to watch the game. Of course I have some of the same concern on the Oasis, but at least they have the large screens at the Aqua show area, assuming they have a Superbowl party which I would expect they would.
  6. I'm considering switching to this cruise from the Oasis cruise but I wonder if there will be good ways to see the Super Bowl, like there will be on the Oasis.
  7. I have been able to link 5 reservations except in one instance. That instance is when one party used a different agent. I don't know if the class of booking matters too, since we have always been in the same class. Here is what really disappoints me. Right now we have 8 people in 4 separate reservations linked. If we want to make, and pay for, a specialty dining reservation it wont use each individuals on file credit card or OBC. One person has to pay for all unless I sign on under each persons account and make each reservation separately and make four reservations for 2. I did this for an upcoming cruise for dinner on the Magic Carpet. I figured I would link when I board. The other issue that disappoints me is not being able to bid on cabin upgrades with another couple we travel with. If only one of us were to win our bid to upgrade to Agua or Suite, we couldn't dine together, so we never bother trying.
  8. Ok. Your talking abou dinner on the magic carpet. I thought you meant the Celebrity Edge ship. In that case they put an invitation on your door the day of the dinner. We booked the chef's table and that's what they did for that.
  9. I assume you must have booked a dining package, not an individual restaurant. If so, as soon as you board call the restaurant reservation line and make the reservation you want at the time you want.
  10. I am never able to bid on any move up offers. Why? Because we travel with another couple and we are always in either of a veranda or a concierge cabin. In order to move up to aqua or a suite, we would have to know ahead of time that we were both going to win the same category or lose together, otherwise we would be unable to eat dinner together in blue or illumie, if one of us wins in the other one doesn't. I have called Celebrity and asked if there was any way to have joint bids so we can either both win or both lose but obviously that is beyond their technical capabilities. That is unfortunate. We would bid otherwise.
  11. My upcoming 12 night cruise will be the first time I only have basic wifi and drink packages. Previously I always had the "indulge" premium package Elite and I have the pricing for a pre-cruise upgrade for both. The drink package is fairly easy to decide since I know we normally drink 3 martini's in the Martini bar a day that cost more than the upgrade cost. The WiFi is more difficult to decide since I don't know if the basic package will be good enough for my usage of uploading to Facebook and checking emails and web browsing. I don't stream movies although I might watch some YouTube. My question is: Does anyone know how much they charge to upgrade the WiFi while on board? Is it pro-rated for how many days are left on the cruise? The cost pre-cruise is $96 each. I also could just upgrade mine and not my wifes since she doesn't upload to Facebook. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
