  1. For those that have been posting and trying to help, it was appreciated. My son and I have discussed this further, and we plan to go another direction. Once again, thank you to those that tried to help.
  2. My son and I have discussed this, and with ALL the feedback I have received, we plan to go another direction. For those that wanted to help, I appreciated it.
  3. I appreciate the postings here, but we WANT to do a cruise, and we may NOT be going to see a plantation after all. It was just my thinking from years ago. 😞
  4. Cr8tiv1, yes you may be right. There may not be any plantations to visit like I did 22 years ago. I'm sure we could go to Hawaii, but we were just thinking of Jamaica at this time, and there may not be any.
  5. MarkK, yes I don't deny that I did that, as I did NOT expect ALL of you people to be checking out the DIFFERENT cruise lines that I was posting under. As I said before, the message has come through very CLEAR, and I do appreciate those that did NOT come down on me like some of you, but still received some good answers.
  6. Bostonjetset, and others on here, yes YOU are right! As I said, I did not expect ALL of you to be LOOKING under ALL of these DIFFERENT cruise areas. EVERYONE'S message has come through very CLEAR!!! I do appreciate those that didn't come DOWN on me and gave me an answer that I could possibly use.
  7. JCOL576, thank you for your response. I was NOT expecting ALL of these people to be looking under these DIFFERENT cruise lines. As I mentioned, I am just looking for a "working" plantation, as I don't remember what kind it was 22 years ago, when we were pulled around on a tram to visit it. As I mentioned earlier, I'm NOT as young as you all with your WORDS that you want me to use!
  8. 2shoes2go, yes we visited a Batik factory a few years ago, and that was very interesting. Thank you ALL, as you have given me some new ideas to check out. Yes, I figured I could probably find a plantation here in the states, but we are planning a cruise out of the states.
  9. Mangrove Snapper, thank you. I had talked with one of my sons and he said the vendors were a little bit bothersome, but he thought we could handle that.
  10. George C yes my grandson said we should do the Sandals as well.
  11. Yes I will admit, I did post this question under "DIFFERENT cruise areas", as I didn't realize "ALL" of you would be seeing these similar questions. As for what type of plantation, I"m sorry, but I really cannot answer as it has been 22 years ago, and we were on a tram going around the plantation, There was production going on at that time, but I don't remember what kind. This sort of lets you ALL know, I'm NOT as young as you all, in the type of WORDS you might want me to come up with.
  12. It has been years since I have enjoyed visiting a plantation. If you have visited a plantation within the past couple years on one of Princess ships, what was the name of the ship, and what port was it in?
  13. It has been years since I have enjoyed visiting a plantation. If you have been on one of RCCL ships to visit a plantation, what was the name of the ship, and what port was it at?
  14. It has been years since I visited a wonderful plantation. If you have visited a plantation within the past couple years on one of Holland American ships, what was the name and the port you visited?
