Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We just returned from 3 weeks on the new Regent Splendor and were surprised at the ‘youthful’ clientele. Many people in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Well balanced age group. No children noted.
  2. Cronuts for breakfast….the best
  3. Last year we were in 911 on the Ovation for two weeks and I would not sail in that location again. Quite a bit of noise late at night above us in the crew/officer quarters. Also, lots of motion being so far forward. However, Seabourn square is generous with seasick pills!
  4. We just left the Navigator and had mixed feelings. Definitely the ‘shakiest’ ship we’ve ever been on, (lots of motion everywhere) however the crew was stellar. Best service in Compass Rose than any Regent cruise we’ve taken in the past. Ship is older and could use an extensive refurbishment. Splendor is still our favorite.
  5. We were in 715, two weeks ago on Navigator, and slots of vibration, especially when the engines were gearing up and leaving port. Reception gave us plenty of motion sickness pills, which helped.
  6. We are Diamond with Seabourn and have been around the world several times with them, however we noticed in just about every category them slipping in service. This past April we took a two week cruise and really saw the difference and their careless handling of Covid related details. We have taken four Regent cruises so far and have two more booked and notice a huge difference. Even though we rarely take excursions, we love the attention to detail in every aspect. Regent has won us over.
  7. Loved the photos! The Explorer was our favorite Regent ship. Soooo elegant and beautiful!!!
  8. We are considering booking a cruise on Navigator later this year and one of the only suites left is 600, at the front of the ship. Has anyone stayed in this cabin? The deck plan shows it to be larger than other Deluxe Window Suites, however it is a connecting cabin to suite 602, and we are concerned about the noise. Anchor noise is to be expected, however we’ve been in connecting cabins on Seabourn and the next door noise could be quite loud. We have sailed Regent many times, however never booked a cabin this far forward. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
