Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hey all: longtime reader, firsttime replier. 🙂 I went on my first RCL cruise in almost a decade that returned a few weeks ago (week long Harmony cruise), but this time I'd spent time learning about the various casino comps possible reading here: My friend & I starting from 0 points played Craps (and occasionally Blackjack) anytime the table was open: both smoking and non-smoking had very weird/limited hours: Sometimes the table would open at 4-5pm, and then would close at 7pm, then re-open sometime after 9pm as best we could tell (we had a late dinner seating). We'd usually stay on the table until 1-3am. The dealers really made things fun and we took good care of them too. Coming home and waiting a couple weeks for things to settle, I wound up at a little over 500 points, and my initial online offer was $100 off my next booking. A different friend has been interested in an Alaska cruise and I said I'd go along, so I went ahead and used the $100 off (better than nothing I guess). Now checking the online offers a week or so later I see there's many ocean view rooms, anywhere from 2-9 nights. I was wondering: if the offer says `2022 NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER SAILINGS OFFER` does that mean it's comped (besides port fees and taxes)? What do the "misc fees" usually wind up being? It sounds like reading here upgrading from the initial window room offer is a mixed bag depending on what they have available? Appreciate any insight/experience others who've taken advantage of the offers can lend!
