We will be in Edinburgh the last day (Sat) of the tattoo. Can I still expect taxis to be readily available to/from port? Ship is in port 7-6, so I believe that is before the actual event starts, but do expect it to be quite busy. Not interested in a tour, just want to go myself, but will have my elderly parents with me. Is there a better/different alternative for transportation, not knowing ahead of time when we will want to return to ship?

We will be transferring from an NCL to an RCL ship in Southhampton (yes, B2B on different lines), any idea if those ship will be near each other? I don't want to hike too far while hauling my bags (especially as the B2B makes for a long trip), but at the same time don't want to have a taxi take me just a half mile and have to get back in the taxi line. I welcome any insights.
