I agree! Although a nice change having Lobster on the menu I wouldn't let it drive any of my decisions on-board. Some lose sight of the fact that this small, "glorified jumbo shrimp" (1/4 Lbs. tail) is not that expensive...

Pretty sure that the max # of passengers on-board any Antarctic sailings is LIMITED by law.

We did it on the Edge or Beyond... the Full Monty w/wine paring a few years ago. One and done for us! Chef's table on Royal was just as good, if not better, and roughly half the price. They give you a HUGE coffee-table sized cook book (~five pounds) at the end which although nice is inappropriate for travelers.

Haven't gone yet BUT the heated pool is a big plus in the Winter months 😉

Royal knows if you have booked Specialty Dining and could, if they wanted to, release the table to MTD even if you don't inform them. Dining in buffet is a different story.
