I selectfully "stockpile" books between cruises so I don't have to worry about downloading or running out of books to read. No reason to stress over books being available.

I look forward to reading your posts of this cruise. We, too, had booked the Bangkok to Athens cruise, but cancelled it all. I will vicariously enjoy your experiences.

Thank you for posting this information. We are taking a similar cruise April/May of '24. The bandanas are a great recommendation. Did you purchase special clothing to combat the heat?

We are currently on the last leg of the World Cruise. It has been one of the most friendly cruises we have ever taken. Yes there are groups, they have been in close quarters for over 4 months now. They are still very friendly, it seems more like a big family party than individuals on a cruise. I have enjoyed the camaraderie. I booked our shore excursions as soon as I could. There were 2 that had to be waitlisted, one cleared quickly and the other had openings the day of the tour. So, we got 100% first choice. Dinner reservations were made as soon as possible. I got the days I wanted, but had to book an hour later for one, no big deal. The ship is just fine. Yes, there are some things that could be redone, perhaps, but the overall condition is good, I can find nothing about which to complain. The toilets did have a flush problem one morning, but it was fixed and I just looked on this as a cruise experience! Traveling with the World Cruise on the Mariner has been a super experience. If the itinerary is what you want, book it!

We have a B2B booked for 2024. I was prepared to book all shore excursions on April 6. BUT, they were only available for the first portion of the cruise. The second part of the B2B cannot be booked until April 25. Too bad the information doesn't tell you there are 2 booking dates when sailing a B2B.

Oh, yes, we are on Voyager.

We are in day 4 of a 6 day quarantine. My husband had sniffles and tested positive. I am still negative, fingers crossed.

Questions for mdunne48: have you been able to book shore excursions in Helsinki or Stockholm? Also, what is the gym on board like?

Yes, my laptop. The website gave the option of "take a picture" then I followed the prompts and the picture appeared, check-in complete! Sounds like you did succeed, so congrats! Hope you have the boarding passes by now.

I couldn't get the photo to upload either. Clicked on the option for the photo to be taken using the computer and everything worked great.
