  1. Some of you all act like Royal is not keeping abreast of the situation there and that they are just blindly still sending ships there without any information. You would think that 4,000 armed insurgents are making their way across the country to take over Labadee. Royal is not going to put their passengers in harms way. Haiti has been unstable for years and Royal has in the past temporarily suspended cruises there when there has been issues in the immediate area.
  2. You quoted a part of my post and replied to something I did not say. Read it again….. I said “If you have already paid in full”. I did not say after final payment date.
  3. Yes you have to call to have that done. I book my cruises online and I just called the other day as a matter of fact because my cabin had a price drop so I called to get a refund of the difference. Keep in mind though that if you are already paid in full you will get an onboard credit rather than a refund.
  4. People be saying there are many free drinks. That is good for people that don’t drink sodas but if you are a soda drinker and like them with meals, during the day, in your room, on Coco Cay, at the shows then it could very well be worth it for you. Keep in mind that all classes of ships don’t have soda freestyle machines and you will be limited to what you can get on those particular ships.
  5. If you are thinking of excursions as in exploring the island as on other islands then no there are none. Labadee is a private area for Royal Caribbean and you cannot leave outside of the area. Labadee is what Coco Cay use to be before they made it into Perfect Day with the pools and water parks and things. It is basically a beach day as there are multiple beaches and an area that exclusively for suite guest. The do have cabanas and beach beds for rents like Coco Cay as well as free loungers and umbrellas on the beaches. They also have a free buffet type lunch like on Coco Cay and your drink package is good there. Somebody els ran down some of the different thing for purchase so I won’t mention them again.
  6. Thanks! It is going to work out better to get her the Refreshment Package and use the 8 vouchers for alcoholic drinks.
  7. Another question??? I believe you can (you and spouse) share vouchers unlike the deluxe package… correct?? Spouse Dow not drink so I can use hers in addition to mine???
  8. The cheapest drink package I have seen in a very long time is for my Panama Canal cruise on Radiance next year. Currently running $53.99.
  9. I just booked a Western Med cruise on Allure for 2025. Has anyone heard of and when Allure is going to go In for Amplification??
  10. On a recent 7 day cruise I had the deluxe package and was drinking about 5-6 per day and cafe latte in the mornings the first 3 days. The last 3 days I was drinking maybe 3 a day as I was just tired of drinking as much as I was early on. Now that I am Diamond I think I will be good with my 4 drink voucher and the wife only may have one drink so I can use her vouchers as needed also so I don’t think I will need a drink package again.
  11. I be only do junior suites for the bigger room and balcony and the wife likes to take scented bubble baths. The biggest thing is the double points though.
  12. That is exactly what we do from the first time we cruised from there and we have cruised from there four times.
  13. On my recent cruise last week I had a junior suite so it was still twice a day for us. My next cruise in June of next year is a regular balcony cabin so I know it will be a big adjustment from 2 a day to 1 a day. We never leave a mess in the room anyway and not make the bed but usually pull the covers up. When you see the room steward in the hallways you know you can give them your dirty towels and they will give you clean ones if you need to have them changed out rather than leaving them in the floor.
  14. I think that because of low participation in the CC roll calls these day since the pandemic there is not much interest anymore in the sponsored meet and greets anymore. Back when I joined here in 2010 it was a big thing with lots of participation and conversation in the roll calls and you looked forward to meeting people you conversed with. There were was usually pre meet and greets setup on embarkation day and there were even meet and greets at for dinner and drinks at local restaurants in the embarkation port pre cruise. Now with the popularity of FB, a lot of cruise group roll calls have moved there. I just finished a cruise on Harmony last week and the roll call here had only 4 people with a post maybe every couple of weeks. The roll call on FB for the same cruise at the time of the cruise had over 900 people.
