Oh he'll book the cruise...he just doesn't want to spend hours on hold and then speaking with someone who has no info. Today it took 3 call backs and over one hour to be told they couldn't help me. Terrible hold music, too! I tried the number for my vacation planner. She's out of the office for a week. As a shareholder, I hope Princess is saving one hell of a lot of money switching to a few folks in the Philippines who are hard to understand and who have no info.

Trying to speak to someone at Princess this morning...had 2 call backs so far and both of them were hard to understand - then the line went dead. I think they just hang up. I book through a TA but he says it takes him hours to speak to anyone and he doesn't want to try calling any more. It's getting ridiculous. Sure wish I had a number for someone who is actually in Santa Clarita!

Royal Princess to Hawaii over Christmas. It was especially galling because I heard the couple in front of me say they were happy to share. They were told, "That's ok we have a nice table for 2 for you." Then when I asked to share I was told there were no shared tables that late in the evening (7:15). I was told to come by 6:00 if I wanted to share. I later spoke to the HGM but was told nothing could be done. This only happened one night because I was traveling with a girlfriend. She skipped dinner this one night. We usually ended up eating together but would have much preferred dining with others.

I'm a solo cruiser who likes to dine at a shared table every night around 7 or 7:30. On my last cruise, this didn't work at all. I was told I have to dine earlier to have a chance to be seated at a shared table. One evening, since I didn't want to dine alone, I ended up having a hot dog for dinner up on deck. Very disappointing. I believe I'll have to go back to Cunard if I don't want to eat at 5 or 6 and don't want to dine alone. Sure wish Princess would change this policy.

Hey Trapper - I think we are gonna pass. I've been there a few times and know my way around and have some idea what I want to see. I like to collect sea glass, so, last time, I took the ferry and a public bus and went to Glass Beach. Wonder if there is any glass left? In 2015 some American woman tried to haul 70 pounds of the stuff home in her suitcase! Hope you get 6 more to sign up! Dee

Hi kids - my friend, Kay, and I are booked for this crossing. I did a crossing a few years back that ended in London - at Tower Bridge. Great experience. We're looking forward to this trip across the pond. Cheers! Dee
