  1. My husband's bag just arrived in the ship here in Sitka!! We can finally relax. 🙂
  2. United hasn't said anything about reimbursement. I did save receipts just in case.
  3. Haven't gotten kicked off the ship yet due to whatever rules. Hopefully my husband's bag will be in Sitka tomorrow. I wish it was my suitcase that was delayed because he is missing so much stuff that he bought for the cruise. So hope the bag comes in the morning so we can do some hiking, etc. I am finally feeling relaxed from all of the frustration, using the thermal suite and had a massage yesterday.
  4. I am currently on the Eurodam. My husband heard about this last night because we had not left port and the casino wasn't opening so he was asking why we weren't moving. They said a team member from your ship went overboard and our crew was helping in the search along with the coast guard. Our captain made a similar announcement this morning and also offered counseling services. So sad.
  5. We made it on board. One bag is on the way to the ship. The other is hopefully arriving before the ship leaves. No one said anything about having to get off in Victoria. All seems well. They took care of us snd another couple also embarking.
  6. Someone from United just woke me up to tell me our bags are in Seattle. fingers crossed.
  7. Made it to Juneau. Alaska Airlines did some sort of courtesy request regarding our bags. They will be handled by some sort of cruise line service that will deliver them to the ship. She took our whole itinerary down. Now I finally have a tracking number. Hopefully the bags will reach us at some point before we run out of clothes. Meanwhile left this for United on Instagram.
  8. We are flying Alaska Airlines tomorrow. Can;t remember the name of the hotel, but it is downtown. United said someone at the Juneau airport will assist me. Fingers crossed. Does anyone by chance have Juneau restaurant recommendations? 😉
  9. PCR tests done. Guest services called my parents on the ship for them to reach out to me to tell me to take the tests again and my dad said "They are doing that right now.". Everyone involved is aware of our situation and letting us board the ship. Hopefully they didn't cancel my spa pass. I am going to need that therapeutic pool when I get on board. Now I am going put on my PJ's and some Dateline while I stay on hold with baggage services to figure out my luggage debacle. The texting representatives were too vague about where to get the bags. Thanks everyone for listening to my travel horror story, will keep you posted.
  10. There were 100's if not 1000 people in line for baggage services last night. We went home because people said they had been in line for hours and we figured we could go to the app and have them delivered to our home. But instead the app says our bags don't exist. Someone from United said to go back to the airport and put in a request with baggage services and they will get our bags. Get to the airport and are just told You will NOT get your bags today go home. Go home and someone from united via text said our bags will be at the Juneau airport which I highly doubt. Now I have to figure out where to get a new COVID test. We are all set to board in Juneau. The agent I just talked to said we are not the only ones dealing with this.
  11. We had a plane and crew but no gate and then our pilot "timed out." Nightmare.

No we were flying yesterday and our flight got canceled and they had already canceled 2 other EWR to SEA flights so there was nothing to book us on the following day and all flights have like 30 people on standby. So we did try to fly the day before. I don't know what happened but there used to be a lot more earlier flights in teh day to SEA, now there is nothing between 7am and 5pm . And they canceled the 7:30am flight this morning to make things even worse. There were people trying to get onto my flight who had been t the airport for 2 days. Two HAL reps assured me that I can board in Juneau.
  13. Hi all! So we have a flight to juneau tomorrow and I called that HAL emergency line last night and they have alerted the ship that we will be joining them there. But now I am wondering if we have to get a COVID test again since we took ours on Thursday. Now our issue is our luggage, United will not let us retrieve our bags. They said we can't get our bags today and we can't even request them to be sent to us until we reach our destination, our destination is a moving ship. I am at a loss. ETA: We were flying the day before our cruise. And if we had flown the day before that, the flight would have been canceled as well. Also, yje HA: emergency services people said the only port we couldn't join in would be Skagway, and that wasn't even a stop forus.

  15. Yeah the chat is not available now. I have been on hold with the service line for an hour. Will see if I can do Alaska Airlines, I can't even get my luggage back from united. ETA: All airlines sold out. 😞
