We just booked for August 2025 for Alaska. When do they open up the excusrions? This is by far and away the earliest ive ever booked any kind of vacation, cruise included, so this is uncharted territory for me.

Thanks. Some good info here. Going to look around a little more. I was hoping this site would have some more reviews and info but it seems kind of sparse. As for what the kids do, typically they hit the arcade, the pools, hot tubs. Been lucky where theyve made friends on the last few we went on and then they just kind of hang with them and roam around.

My wife has been dying to do an Alaskan cruise. We wanted to wait til our kids were old enough to be able to enjoy it and do most excursions. We're looking at the summer of 2025. When I googled "best cruises for Alaska", The Edge came up as the #1 in UsNews Travel for Alaska. When I was looking through the review, it said one of the Cons was there wasnt enough for kids entertainment. We have done Carnival, Disney and Royal with the kids. They honestly arent big fans of kids clubs but those ships also have plenty of stuff for kids to do otherwise. Does Celebrity cater to a more adult crowd? Im not looking to compare to another line, just want to make sure they will have stuff to do on their own. I know this will be more of a siteseeing, adventure of a trip then one of the Caribbean itineraries were used to but I just want to make sure when we are on the ship, theyre not going to be bored out of the minds and we have to let them play on their phones and stuff.
