Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Yes that was a pleasant change to have barely anyone queued compared to other cruises. We rang them a couple of times and quickly sorted. I am sure they will iron out the bugs. It was great for booking excursions. I just had to smile at the thought of someone operating a business onland that just randomly charged customers like that. Smooth disembarkation today.
  2. Here is a warning for future Coral passengers. Keep an eye on your room account! We have had a couple of extras over the 2 cruises which guest services cannot even account for. They just remove straight away. I questioned if this a problem with the medallion system and was told they know there is a problem with it. Watching the way waiters identify you by proximity seems very easy to tap someone else's picture nearby. Not a fan.
  3. I don't think the free for all coffee has ever got a good review, no matter which ship it is served on. Thanks for those that have commented on their recent cruise. It sounds like it is business as usual on the Coral. There are always complaints about bland, cold food with slow service. Still better than cooking yourself, I reckon. I always come home heavier! Bag tags printed, starting to get excited.
  4. Ahh, Should have kept the carrier pidgeon's. Interestingly, my wife was chasing up our shareholder OBC last week and was advised she could FAX the paperwork thru. She did point out that in this modern age of wifi Princess Medallion, it seems odd that they still use fax. Notice the policy allows you to use email now but at your own risk.
  5. Interested to hear how the current passengers are finding their cruise now that you have finally made it onboard. We are sailing in 2 weeks. Are you noticing much in the way of curtailment of services? What is the vibe on how Princess is handling the covid in the crew issue? Are you enjoying it.
  6. No, The Spirit was stuck outside the heads for the night due to a large storm. We were booked on for the next sailing and had to find our own accommodation. I recall, Carnival gave us a refund which was about the nights accom and 1 day of cruise refund. They didn't give us a lot of information while we were waiting, either. We actually found out we were going to be sailing when we turned the tv on the next morning and saw the ship coming thru the heads. The scary thing was that at our first port of call which required tenders, the first 2 tenders (outside our cabin) could not be used due to water in the electrics. Good thing we didn't need them as lifeboats.
  7. So if the numbers of infected on the ship rise close to the code Red level( which would not be a good look for the industry){but the press would love it}, would Princess move some of the recuperating crew off the ship into hotels for a few days, outbreak controlled? Rejoin at a nearby port in a couple of days. Or are they bound to keep the crew on board?
  8. If this is still the case, I am going to feel better looked after onboard, than if I had cancelled and did a land package in a dodgy resort, that doesn't have to report outbreaks. Sticking with our B2B booking Aug12/22. Glad I booked a balcony and will get the 4th jab in a few days to get as many things going in my favour as possible. Note our cabin has been moved (just like Geoff's?) from Emerald Aft to Aloha Aft(also next to the laundry!)
