  1. Ship: Icon of the Seas Deck -11 Stateroom # - 11705 Stateroom Category – Surfside Family Suite Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? sometimes Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no Balcony View - overlooking surfside neighborhood Balcony Size? Small Was wind a problem? - no If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA Any specific problems with this cabin? - yes Cabin had very little storage. Split bathroom a good idea- but not good. Toilet side tiny. If you are over 6'2" or a large person, sitting on toilet very uncomfortable. Toilet paper holder in an awkward position. Tiny sink no storage in toilet area. No place for towel- hooks on back of the door but towel keeps falling on the floor. shower side of the bathroom better. Any other comments? -Cabin advertised as for three or four- small tiny room that has a couch and TV with a cabinet above the couch- Only good for one small child. Shouldn't be in the suite category. Very disappointing.
  2. Nassau is great- many beautiful beaches and shopping interesting. Some people go to the Atlantis- other hotel beaches available and public beaches also. Enjoy-
  3. Just off the Icon. Kids running in packs- pushing etc. The parents perhaps are enjoying themselves in the Casino or doing other things allowing the kids to behave like wild wolves. I have children and grandchildren, and wouldn't allow them to run around the ship unsupervised. Some looked 7-8 years old. They should be at supervised activities or with a parent or guardian. Remember we are all on a vacation and want to have a good time.
  4. As I suite guest- many years ago all of those tours were free. On our last cruise to weeks ago on the Icon, the only "free" tour we got was of the bridge- We had done backstage and galley on other ships when in a suite- but who knows as now the mission is profits.
  5. Agree! Don't go on the Icon of the Seas. It is huge.
  6. Great news! Perhaps because labadee is unstable- and who knows what the future will bring, a good idea.
  7. We have had connecting multiple Central Park View cabins on deck nine. Never a problem. Has a big picture window- and lots of light. We do these cabins when bringing grandchildren- love them and a great value! Check deck 8- we like cabins over retail shops- Enjoy
  8. I no longer go in hot tubs. After the cruise, I typically was getting Urinary track infections. Not sure if from the chemicals- or people using the hot tub with body excrements! I suggest ladies bring monostat for potential yeast infections, and medication for possible UTI's.
  9. We saw wizard of oz , the water show, comedians and ice skating show. Our favorites were the wizard of oz and comedians. Others were ok. If the cruise director introduced the shows, he wasn’t memorable. Only events we participated in were the trivia events. Problem with the water show was horrible bleacher uncomfortable seats. We left early
  10. We just got off the Icon. The cruise director was mostly absent and didn't impact our cruise- He had a few assistants who did trivia and other activities- We will be on the Symphony in August- noticed Elvis is the cruise director. Will he be on in August? Is he good? Not sure if we ever had him on another ship.
  11. Just trying to save their life. And make it safe and comfortable for non-smokers. In this day and age- we know the dangers of smoking- respect those who do not want any passive smoke in their lungs.
  12. Try YouTube. But really not suitable for four unrelated adults. If you are all on a budget- try two inside or oceanview staterooms. You will have privacy, two bathrooms and storage. When I travel with family on a budget, we get two central park staterooms- deck 9 without a balcony same price as inside, but much nicer and larger- with a great view.
  13. Yes. Have been to labadee at least 6 times, and cococay 3. Our last stop at labadee about one year ago was very disappointing. My husband and I got many bites from sand flees. Also the buffet selections were poor, with flies all over. I will agree that the landscape is beautiful. I can deal with the flees and flies (bug spray) and a poor buffet, however safely should be a number one priority
  14. cococay such a big improvement over Labadee. Have just got off the Icon and CoCo cay was perhaps the best stop. We have a scheduled cruise on the Symphony in August- Hope it stops two times in CoCo Cay and forget labadee-
