Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Happy Saturday!! I’ve read the Sitka buses do not run on Sundays. In my planning I didn’t realize that. We were just going to take the bus to The Fortress of the Bear then go to the Raptor Center and Totem Park. We will be there next Sunday!!! I am beyond excited!! Should I just bite the bullet and book a ship excursion or will there be tours available at the dock?
  2. I love the anchor! Do you just show your tech a pic and they painted it? I’m not sure how to ask for the nail art. I am looking for ideas for our Alaska cruise at the end of the month. I do the powder dip and am growing them out a little more than I normally wear them. This is them currently. I’m thinking maybe this color with a navy French tip. i would love to see ideas for Alaska!!
  3. Hey, fellow cruisers! Happy Saturday! So I'm looking at Sitka and planning to do The Fortress of the Bear, Alaska Raptor Center & then walk to the Totem Park. I know I've seen somewhere that Sitka has a shuttle that will run between these spots. I see there is a blue line but does that get close to the places or is there another we should take? Not looking to do a "tour". Thanks for all the information you all provide in these forums!!!
  4. This is the offerings on my June 2nd cruise. None of the non alcoholic packages except a 6 pack of sodas or a 12 pack of water. I don't know why it says I may already have beverage packages. I had them in my cart but now they are gone.
  5. If I switch the mini bar out for all diet cokes how many would that be? I was going to purchase the soda plan and switch the mini bar set up for coffee cards but now there isn't an option to purchase either package in the personalizer. I NEED my diet coke. I will drink the free coffee but I NEED my diet coke!! 😂
  6. I agree. I guess we will be bringing some 12 packs onboard. I would rather purchase the soda packages though.
  7. Wow, I'm not a fashionista by any means but I love planning vacation outfits! Last cruise was a Disney cruise with my adult daughter and her bff. We made a ton of shirts with the cricut and had so much fun with that. I normally wear a skort with a funny tank or tee with my swim suit underneath for day 1. We love capturing that excitement of boarding a cruise ship!!
  8. So many great ideas! Those little "free" bags seem to multiply like bunnies around here. I use them for everything from my jewelry, make up, first aid, cords... I also have some of the dry bags from jujube I use those for pretty much every port day. But, I also take a bunch of baggies in various sizes I keep in my day bag for either wet items, electronics, or I like to take travel size deodorant, comb, hair ties with me to port and excursions. A couple of essentials for me is waterproof mascara, 3 minute miracle conditioner and colored lip balm. We are going on an 11 day Alaskan cruise in June and I'm mentally trying to reduce what I feel like I'll need.
  9. That's what I've been thinking too! So many good sales already going on. Got a puffer coat for $20 on the to 32° website. It's our first trip to Alaska and I'm still worried about being cold!! We go June 2nd.
  10. So many great ideas!! One thing I bring is highlighters. I do like hard copies of the daily schedules and highlight different things. My hubby has to have "his" creamer. He likes the dry powder coffee mate. I take an empty crystal light canister and fill it will my laundry pods and dryer sheets. Makes it super convenient to keep it from getting squished.
