Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Just wondering does the Seascape have a dedicated Cigar Bar or Cigar area?
  2. With GC as a stop that anchors and tenders the guests in there are two issues with anchoring farther out. First is the additional time and fuel to tender guests into shore and back. Not a huge problem but one the bean counters would have an issue. Second since you are in territorial waters as well as a Marine Park the GC authorities can tell you where to park. my guess is they don't want you parking where the bottom is approximately a quarter mile away from the surface. It gets pretty deep pretty quick there.
  3. Have been to Cayman 6x and Bonaire 2x staying at resorts on dive vacations. I have been able to have picked up a few boxes on my last few trips. I was in the shop in Georgetown and picking up a few cigars and the gentleman at the store asked if I wanted singles or did I want a box. Told him I had only a few days left so a box didn't make sense since I couldn't take them home. He then showed me the State Dept memo saying we could bring home an amount for personal consumption. I've been bringing them home ever since.
  4. Your own mask, fit is the most important thing if it isn't right, you're not having fun. Snorkel, it's going in my mouth only, not mine and the people who did the trip before me and rinsed in the same bucket as the 30 people who were on the boat with the person who had the snorkel in their mouth. Fins I don't mind using the ones on the boat, for the most part the saltwater keeps the athlete's foot at bay.
  5. Thinking about picking up a box of Cubans in Cayman, there are a few good cigar stores there. Haven't found a decent shop in Bonaire. I don't know the availability of cigars in Curaçao so if anybody knows of a decent shop there, I'd love to hear about it.
  6. We are also sailing on the 21st. Arriving in Lauderdale on the 20th.
  7. Thanks for the responses, I'm not adverse to enjoying my cigar outside. As a matter of fact, there is a no smoking rule inside my home rule in place. Sitting on deck in the evening smoking a Cubano and sipping on a bourbon, cognac or suffering through a Martini is better than sitting on my deck in the cold and snow!
  8. I am going on my first Celebrity Cruise on the Equinox in January, and I was wondering do they have a cigar bar onboard. I do enjoy sipping on a bourbon and enjoying a great cigar.
